using cheat engine on internet games

i was just wondering how you use cheat engine on games that are in the internet because i have tried hacking games like bot arena 2 and alot of others but the scans never work. i am a fairly experinced hacker so anything you say should make sense to me and i will be able to do it

I made some progress hacking adventure quest but it didn't work n the end can any1 tell me what settings or sumthing?

Well as of about a week ago, I could too they had an update or somethign and cheat engine no longer works
