I know I should be asking the cable company but don't want to due to the fact that this would be sneaky. Currently we have cable internet downstairs, I want to buy another cable modem and put it in my room, which has cable in it. Would i have to call the cable company and tell them this or would this be a plugin and play thing? Where i can just hook it up and it works. I don't want my parents to know i have it either, thats the only reason why im asking about this. If there are any other solutions please feel free to drop a message.
