Newb hacker

I've been trying to create a basic nametags hack for 2142 by following a step-by-step tut video for a nametags hack for bf2. But I always encounter a problem when I try to create it.

Most of the time, about halfway or so through the steps, bf2142 will close, and with it, the OllyDebug loses the references that it needs.

Basically, I am unable to code anything, not even a trainer. I have never created a hack or trainer before, but I've been using them for a while in a plethora of games. And I think it would be kick-ass to learn how to do it.

I was wondering if someone could help me out or send me a working private hack that I can disassemble and screw around with the code. And I totally understand if I have to earn you guys' trust before you share the knowledge.

Yeah, this sucks.

After I get around half way or beyond in the coding my computer essentially freezes up.

Sounds like a computer issue to me... have you tried defragging or a registry scan.. maybe a spyware/adware scan.. try all of those if no success I would buy a new comp :P or jus re-format... caomputers tend to slow down with age from lack of care... reformatting is a great way to get back the new computer speed.
