I'm not sure I understood this fully, but I will offer assistance in any case.
Here's a link for a Free Font Viewer. http://www.styopkin.com/
I have an even better one to offer, but the original site is down and I can't seem to find the application online anymore.. Try that and see what you think.

srry ill try and be more coherant this time:p Im not sure if that program is waht i need or not. What i would like is that when your using text in photoshop and you pull down the font menu, for all the fonts to look as they would appear when used instead of all of them being in the same font. Ive seen this in some programs where it shows what the font looks like and not just the name of it.

Mine appear as each font to me, I can switch through them and see what I need to see easily. What version are you using and plugins(you might not have)?

Hmm.. same here.. What you need to do is when you choose a font and you want to look through the rest, leave the font scroller active and just use the arrow keys. That way you can see all the fonts, but make sure you have selected text to change the font of or you won't notice the difference :)

Im running Adobe photoshop 7.o with image ready. no extra plugins or anything. But waht I can do is type some text out, select it, and tehn scroll through all the fonts to see waht it looks like on the artwork. Is this what you were talking about? Waht I cant do and was wondering if is possible is to see how all the fonts look at the same time in the scroll down menu with out having to select eachone and view it externally. Right now they all look the same.:chinese:

it's shareware but you'd have to register I think. I don't know. I don't use it.

just update your version to 7.0.1 its right on the site. That fixes alot of bugs they claim were in 7.0 ...which might be your problem.

I realise now what you meant with your initial post. Unfortunately Photoshop does not permit the view of all the fonts simultaneously, unless of course you scroll through them and have it show the same word or line in all the fonts.
However, with a Font viewer you may do that, like the one I posted and Machiko. :)

indeed.. there is nothing wrong with your PS, because its not a feature. to do so would be a compromise on ram (especially since its a des application where the average professional user has font lists streching into the thousands, and images into the 100's of mb)
