Ultima Online Question: Connecting to other shards?

How do you connect to other servers?

you just start the game. You need to make your account first though. Then enter yuor account info, it conencts, pick the server(shard) and you are in.

So I have to create an accout at UO.com in order to play at other shards?

yeah if there's no account then you cant play. If you just bought it like you did the first month is free. I will get yout hat other account too but you might as well play on the free one to see how it goes before you pay for the other.

so everything has to go through UO.com even to go onto those free shard servers?

no the free servers are hosted seperately by whoever. Also the newest free server sphere client isn't up to date with uo, 2 years ago. So those are kinda old. I went on that one faktorzero posted, old stuff...but still fun. Thing was i couldnt find him and everyone was speaking in another language. Pay servers are better I think, if you are already totally hooked up. Plus there's more players to kill or converse with, try couple thousand more.

I had a free server of my own once. Some person had set me up with enough bandwidth to host an almost 1000 people or so, and UO isn't that draining like other games. It was not sphere back then either. Anyway, i'll talk to you about this off here.

I have put alot and well continue to put a major amount of work into my site and well take suggestions from other people to make it better. I hope everyone comes and checks this out
