Vac Question

I was wondering if just changing the crc of a hack would make it vac2 proof or would you have to make more changes like offsets...ive serached thru forms im sorry i couldnt find much..if this has been answered already i would appreciate a link so i can read more on it.

VAC mostly doesnt detect CRC as its too simple to modify it.
Changing the offsets (offsets are memory addresses) would just make the game crash.

Without the source its quite a hard thing to do.
