i just got the game , cant find any editor LIKE, pakscape.. files dont open with winrar,winace,winzip .. is there no way to get into the game and start real modding???

found this on some german forum...it supposedly extracts cbf files...i installed it and did see cbf as an option but i could get it to work maybe you might have more luck then i did...

ok then , out come the packet editors and hex editors ... if theres no way to open them files , WE NEED TO FIND A WAY! ive looked all over and found nothin. if only they had pk3's :)

Hehe, that would be nice virussss. Pk3 files are so easy. I dunno where to find it either.

that program does not support CBF files though so whats the point ?

the creators dont get that if they make it more compatable more people will move to the game and buy it , its in their own intrest :(

Hmm,when you want to make a bloodpatch you must build in new files and tellit vietcong in the registry.Perhaps thats the only way to mod.

ok it's some nova software extractor
u can extract .cbf file BUT u can't compile them back (or whatever)

and if u dont register u can only view 30 files... :(

hehe but i registered (erh..YES i "registered") and i can extract all files.hahaha u can only extract 30 files

lol its not taht hard to "register" and thanks for the file...why cant you compress the cbf files again tho?!

i dunno its stupid program because of that but if u were uber c++ h4cks0r then u could possible make a program what compiles it

The nova program does not extract all files correctly in the demo. and will extract NONE of the files in the retail game. There are no programs out there other than ones pterodon has that will extract the cbf files as it is a closed and encryptd format.

I posted a way to extract them using pterodons own setup program to the MPC cheat dev forum. It is a complex and multistep process. If anyone REALLY is willing to do the needed work to extract them, I may post the instructions in their open forums.
