I just got photoshop a couple of days ago, but I don't like the fonts so are there any sites where I can download specific fonts? Also, under what folder would I save the fonts would I save them under so I could use them when I open up the text option?
Thanks

Save them into C:\Windows\Fonts\
I think.
Then u can install them by going to control panel > fonts > file > install new font

when the font is put in that folder it is automatically installed
just google "free fonts" and you should get a bunch of sites which offer free fonts.

To use here? They have to be .gif (I think), just goto User CP - at top of forum page; add avatar and then click to browse it form your computer. Pretty much the same as uploading (attaching) file fo approval.

They have to be .gif, yes. And btw, you might be able to do it with photoshop, but with Paint Shop Pro X, you can't make .gif animations. I use Selteco for it, usually. It's childishly easy (and i need that :P)

They dont have to be .gif -- I have used a few png's and probably some jpgs before :x
Maybe they are converted to .gif automatically when they are uploaded?

actually .png and .jpg will work but they are not animatable formats, only .gif images can have animation in them

So how do I convert my .png avatar to .gif? I was planning on using my avatar in other places, not just here, so how would I do it?
Nevermid, I figured it out myself. Thanks everybody for helping me out. :)

Looks like u have a gif in your avatar now :x
Just save as a gif.
It can be a png or a jpg to upload it to most forums (including this one) anyway

I have one last question.... I know how to make animated avatars with words from tutorials on google, but when I try to use an image and change the image itself, it gets changed on every frame...How can I fix that? So far I can only move the image, which is pretty lame....
