Wallhacked materials
I'v seen a whole lot of material wallhacks around MPC in my time, and quite frankly, not a whole lot of them have really satisfied me. So I set out to make my own set of wallhacked materials, and with this I think I'v got something to share with all of you, and I'm sure you (Or some of you) will like it.

Needs nightvision to be enabled, and draws a crosshair at the center of the screen that changes between green and black quite fast, this making it easy to see at all times.

Note: You need to have the following setting enabled for this to work:
cl_crosshairusealpha "0"
After a while of fiddling with the default crosshair I decided it would be best to use this instead. This is mostly a copy of the original thick crosshair posted in the "legal cheats (http://www.mpcforum.com/showthread.php?t=162449)" sticky, however I removed a couple of things that didnt need to be in there to work. Also the original one was pink, and since FreakVision is a rather bright wallhack I decided to go with black instead for my version. Another alternative you should consider is JAvEX HUD Crosshair (http://www.mpcforum.com/showthread.php?t=119233).

Some people asked if I could make it a little darker, so I changed the texture a little. I think that if you're trying to look like someone who isn't cheating, the dark version should be easier. But it's all about preference really :D.
Credits:
While I did custom make this entire thing 100% solo, not a single file not having been made from scratch, I did take ideas and inspiration from others; as such, I'll be doing some credits here :)
- Belink (I didnt exactly use his tutorials, but he simply deserves credits for anything mat-hack related :D)
- Holz (Fullbright models work when you use "$model" 1, thanks for that. Also thanks for the fat crosshair in FreakVision xHair)
- MatrX (You're incredably strange, probably how you tend to come up with those refreshing ideas)
Note 1: I probably missed a couple of people in the credits, sorry, if I think of others Ill add you to the list.
Note 2: Anyone who wants to take extra screenshots, feel free to. I do realize only having screenshots of dust2 is somewhat limiting, however taking them of all maps would just take way too much time.

really great man was looking forward to this but just a tip and maybe future request but is there any way you could do more textures the same way as done in your V3 version and maybe a way to change it from wallhacked to not wallhacked with a couple of binded buttons and scripts
that might not be able to do but my friend kept bugging me to ask because he said it could i know i probly sound like a noob sorry

I really doubt that it can be done man, but even if so the script is going to be pretty large and it would brake the game heavily to change all of the textures from wh to normal ones :\

It rocks man, simply rocks. I think this is going to be my favorite wh so far, for real this is pumping overtime and pimping my CSS ride totally, yeah!
The autocenter code I did actually find myself too before you released this version. It doesn't cut much though of what I expected and doesn't feat on to my nv hack new release soon...but I know a way to make it 85% of how I would like it to look, 85 is better then 0.
Yours is kind a good too but I wouldn’t recommend it for my eyes though, therefore I'm releasing my update on nv inc & smoke, soon during this week.
If you'll like it then you're welcome to put it in your hack, you have my permission. :P

Would it be possible to change the textures on the floor, to a darker colour..?

There might at some point be a v4, it won't be in the near future. Using a darker texture for the floor is possible, just find the floor vmt's and change them.
A good way to figure out which VMT's you need is to:
sv_cheats 1
developer 1
bind mouse1 "mat_crosshair"
And just shoot at the floor, it will tell you which material you just shot.
On another note; I just uploaded the FreakVision xHair (which is a modified version of the thick crosshair found in the legal cheats thread, finetuned for use with the FreakVision wallhack).
I recommend using it if you're having trouble seeing your crosshair.

wow nice job! I've tried pretty much all of the releases here over the past few months and this one blows them away. I prefer the dark version. You should get some kind of award for this one, I am still in shock at how good it looks.

Try extracting into your cstrike folder.
Installation: Extract to cstrike folder. Then play.

copy all of those.

Very nice, I like the new textures cus from v1 it would get a lil hard to distinguish doors and end up shooting through them. very nice job keep at it

FOR ALL THOSE WHO CAN'T GET IT TO WORK READ THIS:
when unzipping from winzip it for some reason shows every single file, it has to do with your configurations, hit view styles on the winzip pane or change your winzip configuration until you see folders instead of files you should see about 30 folders instead of 2500 and some odd files. I wasted so much time on this, good luck.
edit: upon using, this thing is amazing, it makes everything else look like childs play, kudos times a million

Delete your materials folder and be done with it...simple as that...The folder will reload default settings..
**If you were smart and saved the material folder somewhere before u added freakvision, its as simple as delete and paste..ie For your custom gun skins etc..

If you now still don't know how to uninstall it then please do take precautions next time when you install something, like take a backup of your precious folders or somthing and stuff....

Ok so here is a very valuable patch in my opinion so take a good care of it UltraFreak, hope that you will accept this one and maybe even update your hack with this one in your next version release.
I decided to spare you some work and put this one out for download to all so there won't be any waste of time on talking about where what and why...
I don't have time to make any pics either for now maybe later...

Damn I just found out that this hack need some serious updating like, when you need to see differences between the objects that you kinda can shoot trough and the ones that you can't on... sooo I went back and started testing on some maps like dust, dust2 & inferno. I found the most important objects to fix, but to fix them all & good this is gonna take at least over 300-500 times of testing and retesting, each is worth around from 1-7 min, figure it out for yourself how long time I gonna have to kill for this kind of slave work. So I need this too of course not just ya but come on, not for this fix wasting so much time on, no thx.
let UltraFreak test this shit lol, of course I will try to test this as many times as possible while I play online anyway, but it ain't gonna be fast.
And I think we gonna need a third texture like for wagons so we can see that we can shoot trough them and for some other things too like wall windows and stuff. Just make this to look it's best.
Anyway here is a very small fix for now, adios amigos :P

Yes UltraFreak is right about that you do not need to but in my opinion you would be better off with it and from that point of view you only need Patch 2 because it contain the same stuff as p1 just a bit more in it. :P

wow maybe im retarded or my comp is just messed up. I click freakvision v3, extract the materials to local disk c, program files, steam apps, mysteamusername, css, then to cs directory. I think im doing it right but it won't work maybe i need to restart my computer or something but i would appretiate it if someone could help me

Mh, sounds like you did it correctly if you extracted the materials folder to \counter-strike source\cstrike\.
All you've got to do is restart the game / reload the materials.

Only if the game is already running when you extract the cheat materials you will have to restart the game / reload the materials.
Else all I can tell you is to assure that you really did everything correctly and check if Steam is set to another language.

This could not possibly have VAC banned you, if you're VAC banned it's because you also used another hack. (Not using the "patch" won't get you VAC banned either).

Yea seriously i've been using it on vac servers, no patch except the "dark" version. Vac wont ban you for material changes. Btw Ultra Great Hack.

I was banned while using this hack. I have been using it for a month or two and it's the only hack i've ever used or have downloaded. It might be some mistake on Steam's part, but just be careful when downloading this hack or any hack.
On a brighter note, this is an awesome mathack. Many kudos to the creator.

You were not banned for using materials. You are either lying completely or you used an injection hack.

What a bunch of rubbish I didn't know anything about how the hacks worked, where to get them & on how to use them for css one & a half year ago. Still I was never ever banned because I chose the caution and used only the right hacks & those are called Material Hacks.
Ever since I learned their workability I knew these were 100% secure & till this day I still playing on all my steam accounts where I not only used the ones other made but also preformed hundreds of my own tests for new hacks... I did got many ideas & only some of them worked. The ones that worked you can now download below from the colored links & still never get vac banned. Even after all the turns I made I still came out dry of the swamp…
Everything is 100% secure to use because I'm using it myself too... So wtf? Stop writing bull about these kind of hacks! Thx.

You were not banned for using materials. You are either lying completely or you used an injection hack.
He's lying regardles, whether he used an injection hack or not (since he said he didnt use anything else).
The only question is whether he's lying by accident, or just trying to be an "anti cheating advocate" trying to prevent people from using cheats.

The problem is my People (model) are Black and pink..I was wandering why the weapons turned out fine and the models black and pink and not red/blue. I have also tried using other ColorProgs eg: Rj's colored player models, ZHX but the models are always Blank and Pink >.<

When I try play with the wallhack it says theres a consistency error for "wooddoor015a". How do I fix this.

Yes because if I read your other thread correctly this won't work on cracked Steam clients.

Wow great hack mate.
Been playing with it for maybe 5 days and encountered no problems, and I've been spotting people so well.
The only problem I guess is you can't always see the people.. Only when your near the corner or they are can you see them. Is there anyway to see them from like the other side of the map?

When I try play with the wallhack it says theres a consistency error for "wooddoor015a". How do I fix this.

Right, well I was using the normal one for a while, it works great, probably the best wallhack to date. One big problem though, it's sometimes really hard to tell where a wall is. Would it be possible to add contrast between say, something near and something further away?
Anyway, I'm downloading the dark one, gonna try that out
Edit: WOW! The dark one really is the best wallhack I have ever seen. AWESOME job!

The server you're on may be using SteamBans Detox. Does this happen on all servers or just some?
Example: It's Assault and I'm CT. I'm standing outside the main building. I want to know whats inside, but the wall hacks don't see through. The most I see is a floating gun sometimes if I get close, or when I'm at the backdoors and I open one I can get some view.
Every server.

This is a sick ass hack but my materials got ****'d up so i got to reinstall steam then put it back, but otherwise great hack.
Eh, how would this "**** up" your materials?
However, reinstalling Steam is completely unnecessary as you simply have to remove your current materials directory.

@ Holz; any chance you could try attach this to the first post? Since I can no longer edit that.
Note: this is a patch you can apply to freakvision V3, it adds some files and replaces some others. hf. (Yes, it comes with a pink bold crosshair).

Nope, though I'v tried actual shaders (vertexlitgeneric, inlitgeneric, lightmappedgeneric etc), and none of them gave me the same effect as this, so I decided to use this anyway :p
If you know which shader type does make it work proerly, let me know.

Why would it be? It works fine, I didn't "miss" this detail at all, I simply chose to not bother fixing it as, even though the shader used doesn't exist, it still does work.

I generally don't download the things you release, let alone look at how you do things. You haven't really done anything new or interesting since your very first smoke release (ie: a custom texture), so I'm not sure why I should be trying to eep an eye out.

If there's anyone a noob between you and me? Well I think it'd be fairly obvious who that'd be. Lets not forget the shitty quality of your original crosshair (failing to use the no lod setting) or crosshair animation material (using a proxy that had equal min and max values/other garbage).

id say ultras freak vision 3 is by hard the best material hack you will find.
the others are good, but when i put his in, there is pretty much no motion blur or fuzziness, whatever you want to call it on maps(could be my video car)
you can see everything so much better and much sooner than the others. and its white walls, or off white(im colorblind, lol)
anyways, awesome work. i love it and so do my friends. :)

but to be honest I haven't seen any really similar wallhack like this before.

I never said the shader existed, I said it worked. And by the virtue that it does exactly what it should do, it does indeed work. I'm not keeping it like this to confuse people, if someone wants to work if the FreakVision base I created they're free to.

Freakvision isn't a rip out of a rip, the wallhack in FreakVision is 100% original content. As for being original, I recall you saying that this smoke was an idea you took from DOD: Source, so don't go talking shit pretending you actually did anything for it, other then moving the file. As for the nightvision crosshair, no one created it because no one wants to create it. At the time you released it you could still create a crosshair using developer mode and 'echo', hence there really wasnt any point. Hell, the only reason I'v got a nightvision crosshair included is because of servers that force the use of your nightvision (IE: Zombiemod).
People that can make new things and workable are far more cooler... For a fact there should be an Anti-Flash release soon by one here at MPC soon... It should be fun :P
I'v already released an anti flash, the only problem with anti flash is the need to bypass consistency (which is a matter of loading the files, then removing them, then connecting). The reason this isn't included in freakvision is because it's not consistent.

No. That is only gonna add sv_pure.
BTW, even if someone sends a demo of you to Valve, they can't ban you. VAC is automated. Even if you make it obvious.
Also, VAC updates silently. Not with other updates (such as CSS updates etc)

well as i said before: i started making the transparent wall style wallhack when the CSS beta came out. So i am making and using shader cheats for like 2 years now ? since the very beginning of CSS.
after that i made XQZ wallhack (players through the walls) and no flash and no smoke. but that became blocked (consistency detected) very soon. that you only can use now with a consistency bypass like in holz his piza patch or my private memory hack.

i would guess that its just a texture that wasnt made as transparent so you could see a window there in brighter maps? but you would have to ask ultra about that one.
i am using his newer release, mostly white walls and no sky, i like it more than his original, i dont have that problem.
i cant remember if i saw that on windows, i know i did see it on some doors though.
but thats just my 2 cents.

Yes, delete the materials folder and restart your game.
The default material files will be loaded from a game content file (counter-strike source shared.gcf) placed in \steam\steamapps\, don't worry about that.

The sounds aren't even in the materials directory.
The skins.. are you talking about the default skins or your custom skins?
I already said that the default skins will be loaded from a game content file.
If you had been using custom skins then they were overwritten by this cheat anyways.

Now i can't find any file in the material folder, which could still belong to the wallhack, but my problem is, that the boxes, barrels, trees and some other stuff are still transparent.
So does anyone have an idea which files i could have forgotten???

like the previous post has said.....inside your materials/models folder you will have a folder called DE_DUST etc inside there are your boxes (called crates) delete those and you should be fine ;)

Does anyone know how to make it so only 1 room of a certain map has these transparent textures? I went through all the textures and found the right textures to make 1 room transparent but when I load the game the textures to that one room are pink and purple checker boards. Since I never used the full cheat I thought maybe all the textures where like this, after I extracted all the textures into the materials folder and loaded the game everything was transparent. So the cheat works, I just don't want the full thing. Is there a certain texture file I need in the folder to get it to work?

I was just trying to wallhack aim_ag_texture maps, and I was having one small problem. I did try the mat_crosshair thing, in create server, but what I'm having trouble with, I could not find these :
-hit material "dev/dev_measurewall01d"
-hit material "dev/dev_measurewall01a"
-hit material "dev/dev_measuregeneric01b"
-hit material "dev/reflectivity_90"
Files in my gcf file using GCFscape. I could only find things such as :
- dev/value10.vmt and .vtf
- dev/value20.vmt and .vtf
- etc.
Is there something I'm doing wrong? thanks for the help :)

This is a beautiful hack, one of the best mat hack wallhacks out there I believe. My main problem is that I normally cannot distinguish between the edges of walls and objects. The dark version helped this greatly though. It looks really blatant when you aim at a wall and shoot, and you yourself believe you are actually shooting through air.

The only thing I would change is just to help increase the visibility of players through walls. I have to stand directly to the wall.

for some reason the modified textures are purple and black how can I fix this?
I've gone through abit of the thread and apparently someone had the same problem as me. I only want to use 2 textures from the 'plaster' folder. So I created a folder called 'plaster' in the materials directory and pasted the 2 files in there. However when I load up the walls are checkered purple and black. Is there a solution?

Sheep, you need to copy the "VGUI" folder too because in this hack all the VMTs use textures from that folder

I think the best way is rename your original materials to something else and then install this as materials. Then when you want to switch back and forth you just have to rename the folders and you can easily keep your skins.

What I meant was... I want weapons I'm holding to show up normal unless they're on the map or in someone elses hands... I liked cyan primary weapons yellow secondary weapons pink nades and green knives but it shows up differently...
One more question, I get a horrible slightly laggy motion blur effect inside buildings like T spawn of cs_assault. How does one fix this? Thanks again.

has anyone using these materials been VAC banned recently?
this is only kind i would consider using, and logging on today i received a vac ban. it may not be it, i would just like some other opinions.
i received a ban for a "racist name" (on a regular pub server), which was false, but that certainly wouldnt merit that. i for one hope the materials didnt do this. just would like some confoimation.

So he will think, and he will see we are using materials hack, and if you have much materials like this, then you are cheater ... It is question about time when VAC will scan models and materials... :cry:

Counter-Strike: Source doesn't run in OpenGL.

Hello,
I discovered that this hack doesnt work very well with custom maps such as 'scoutknives'.
Can someone try to do it?
I tried to do it. What i did was decompling the bsp files to vtf and worked my way from there. All i achieved was
some really weird texture thingy. I know i have to replace something with
"LightmappedGeneric"
{
"$basetexture" "vgui/maps"
"$translucent" 1
}
I really need assistance =D

my thoughts.
this is indeed better for seeing people than others i've used bcz it basicall makes everyone see through, which actually isn't as good as 50% transparency imo... esepcially for new maps where you could be shooting at someone behind something you couldn't see or w/e
so this is best for finding people but harder to pull off, i quit walling due to playing in pure servers :( but thxs

I am really sorry to ask such a noob question but I played CS:S since some years i stopped, and now want to play again but I am "twisted" about the consistency bypass even if I know that I will NEVER be banned for using any materials hacks even if I am kicked from the server for consistency forcing check :
Reading what people write there is 2 options to bypass consistency :
- Use a truth hacking program (like what you call CoconuT [I never tried such things] which are truth hacks and not JUST bypass programs.
- Or do something like this (if someone good like Holz could explain me in VERY DETAILED PROCESS what I should do after the extract til the end) : 1) connect to a game with consistency and get kicked | 2) Alt+tab and rename my material folder into something material2 | 3) then go back to game and retry the server <= I think I missed some steps here !
So the questions are :
Are there only those 2 methods for bypass or more ? Does the second methods of manually bypass the check still work ?
If I use a program like Coconut which is a truth hacking program can I only use the option inside it containing the bypass process (because I don't really trust injecting program like this one) or I must use the whole programs ? Can you tell me all the programs which have a by pass and are safe ?
Sorry for my english (and for being so dumb) I hope you understand

Hello, i installed this hack recently and unfortunately i found a problem
i unrared the file, then extracted it to steam/steamapps/myuserid/counter strike source/cstrike
and when i load up (tested on 3 servers) unfortunately the walls remain the same and the hands, people, boxes and such are all black and pink
can someone please help?

Those servers probably had pure mode (http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Pure_Servers) enabled, try it on an own local server.

Is it actually possible to extend this for custom maps?
Since I opened (as example) de_dolls in GCFScape, copied the materials folder from that map to my Desktop. removed every file except for the vmt's. Changed all their content to the standard conten (basetexture in vgui folder and transcluent 1)
Then I put the materials folder on the origianl materials folder so that the filestructure is the same (so the new vmt's came in *STEAM*\steamapps\username\counter-strike source\cstrike\materials\DE_DOLLS)
than I restarted CSS. even mat_reloadallmaterials in console ut still not working. anyone an idea. or doesn't CSS load the vmt's for custom maps?
also tried wth snow_assault_b20 and failed.
anyone an idea?
