Then you might get away with the full version of the game - just remember to keep the settings on low. But in all likelihood you will run into issues when running hacks/cheats especially the ones that effect view distance (no fog etc).

You can cheaply upgrade to a 7600GT or 7900GS card for less than £100 (UK Sterling), this will allow you to up the settings a bit and have some more fun :)

PCI and not PCI-E or even AGP?

Then you really are up the proverbial creek without a paddle. If that's the case, forget buying this game and save up for a new PC or second-hand (USER) one as they'd be cheap as chips (no pun intended) now.

I've seen several socket 939 AMD PCs with PCI-E (SLi) for a about £200 (UK STERLING) - plenty of upgrade scope with rigs like that.

I played bf2 on 5200,6200,6600 and 7800gtx
you can play the game...
Textures and effects on medium everything else on low
30-65Fps guaranteed...
5sec. lag when join the game and when atillery strike :knockedout:

The demo runs much, much better then retail
I can run demo on all high and have 70-85fps
But retail on medium-high and have 45-65fps :alien:

But is that with hacks activated? Did have an nvidia 5950 until it died due to over-zealous overclocking - with activated cheats it lagged.

Some, not all...
its almost impossible to use no fog(VD) on city maps
But on Wake Island its okay

I'm sure he can use nametags and wallhack without any problems
