I have the scripts, so dont yell at me about that lol.

What I want to know about is the new compression for the WAV files thats required for the new codec.

After some trial and error, I found that the rate is 11.025kHZ, the size is 16bit, and its mono still.

Now, I'm able to make WAV's to these specs in iTunes, but as far as equalizing it so it doesnt sound like ass, I'm stuck.

What programs and settings would you reccopmend for songs and whatnot in CSS?

No need for songs really, just scream into a microphone and if it hurts your ears ingame its all good.

If you haven't already, check here for help and information.

The new Steam update for the Source engine has been released! Now you can play .wav files over the microphone with good quality in Source based games! However, you must re-convert your sounds differently than you did before in order for them to play correctly, or they will sound fast-paced. I would recommend converting the ORIGINAL file instead of .wavs that you had already converted in the past, or you might experience problems with quality.

I have updated the site tutorials and articles to accommodate the new codec. Click here (http://hlss.us/forums/viewtopic.php?p=3333#3333) to participate in our thread about this new patch. The new settings you must use when playing .wavs in all Source mods are:

16 Bit (CD) | 11025Hz | 1 'Mono'

i used hlss. it worked, but my sounds are all still real fast and high pitched.

there is a way around it, i thought it was this program. i head a myg0t guy using his just fine.

so what do i do for clear sound?
