firewalls...

Does anyone know of a firewall that can block your Ip from being showed on servers so i wouldnt get kicked. I tired changing my IP with steps people posted but never worked.

correct me if im wrong , but good firewalls would need the mohaas port open to play , that defeating the point? cuz u cant play if the ports blocked

One way to change your IP is to just switch out your nic.

dude you cant change your ip with a firewall in thats some of the purpose is to protect you by hiding your ip...what you need to do is find out how to change your mac address on the firewall once you've changed it you restart and ta da you have a new ip...i know its really easy with linksys firewalls not sure aboout others but try.

a firewall closes ports so infomation can not leave or come in with you saying so (baiscly). a router, which has a firewall in it (especialy the inksys) splits the connection you get from your little box that the cable comp gave you (or if you bought one... ) so other computers can access the internet though the same connection. each computer on the router has the same outside ip. so no, there is no way for you to block your ip on a server. you have to connect to the server and in-turn the server has your ip or the one you connect to the server with. you could proxy your ip but that would just slow the game way down and then they would just end up blocking (banning) that proxy and you would have to find a new one.. which in turns defeats this whole purpose. :classic:
