Err hey guys srry to start a new topic but im in need of real help. When i double click the install exe. it begins. then it says preparing installation. After a while it says the following :

the system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation. Any help? Hasn't occured bfore.
PLLEEAS help

PS: i removed maplestory from my computer cos the patch wasn't working so i downloaded the new ms.

You have to be the admin on your computer to install a program apparently, you need to get on the main account on the computer and install it there.

Turn off all virus protection/firewalls and try again.

nope still doesnt work...

is there like way to set up the settings for windows installer thing?

Install in a different location.. i guess.. can't help more than that

Er. What did you do to your computer to get it like that? Try using system recovery if you have to. Or do system restore.

It woouldn't even progress up to the "choose where u want to install it" page.

i didnt go anything. My patch wasn't working so i removed maple from my comp, installed the newest one, then it says blah blah blah...

then there shouldn't be any other possibilites. Mods, move this to the General Dis. section. It belongs there

Thread shifted

Try updating your installer engine and i think the problems lies with the client try reformatting and then reinstall if it still doesn't works ask nexon.

well for me my problem was probably not updating the installer engine. i had just finished reformatting and i tried to install maple. i downloaded service pack 2 for x64, installed, reboot, right click on file, run as "administrator", put password and it worked.
