My Steam indicates that all servers are unsecure. Can anyone verify this?

It seems to be down for DOD:S, but as far as CS:S is concerned,

That mean I can test out hacks on dod s without worry?

If you're just testing, start up an unsecure server with bots.

When I refresh my server list in CSS, the little shield next to the server name does not appear even though I have only secure servers selected form the menu. Odd.

Wait for mod approval and you can check it out. If the Auth servers are down then you can hack all you want until they come back up.

I can't remember off the top of my head but if they come back up I'm pretty sure the server you're connected to has to reset itself (admin actually has to shut the server down and start it back up). Someone else can possibly confirm this. I'm not 100% sure though, so becareful. I just remember last week everyone having a hay day when the servers went down for a couple hours. Every server was unsecure for a good amount of time, some servers still haven't reset themselves.

Hmm, really? That is interesting...

Instead of using a tool you could just check by looking at the server list and filtering secure servers...

OR one doesn't even have to load up CS:S every time they want to check if the servers are down or not. Makes it a lot easier for people who have been banned to play again.

The tool can also 100% confirm that the servers are down, whereas a filter can't do that.

If i'm not wrong message about it will be shown when loading too. Didn't know it can be filtered.

You dont have to use any tools to see if the auth server is up..

In Steam: File > Settings > Internet

If they are up then it will say: Steam has successfully connected to the authentication servers.
