Strange cheats

A my friend use the shotgun. He is very strong for me but today i have see something of strange. In the map Burgundy,France he shot me from high distance and kill me with the shotgun how can you see in the img:

I think that it is a cheat that pb don't "see" like as scripts. But are there any scripts that can do the same of that my friend do? I think that he had modified something in the iwd file but when i try it i can't join in a server. What do you think? Can anyone help?

You can only play with modified iwds if you are playing on a server that isn't pure. See if the server you were playing on before was not a pure server.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I thought shotguns could fire that far, but the chances of one of the pellets hitting you is very slim, he could have just got lucky and hit you in the head.

Same thing happened to me. guess one of the pellets hit my head, and I died instantly. Just a lucky shot.

This is another type of cheat. This player can select all waepon quickly and he fly. Somebody say that he use the scripts, what to you think?

Seems to me like dev mode : all weapons and fly mode: it can only be done on servers with devmode on (correct me if i am wrong)

I don't know, i'm not espert. But if it is, how can i see if the server have the devmode on? For example in Xfire you can see all the information about the servers, there is a code for see that the server have this devmode? for example: sv_devmode 1 (like sv_hostname)

I'm not an expert also ;) but you could try some commands when you are in a server: so i don't know if you can see it in x-fire (maybe you could see it with ~ /serverinfo ) or somhting like that.....

To see if the server has devmode on, try using some of the developer cvars. If they work (toggle with a different vaule), then developer mode is enabled.
