ok, so i click onto maple story, everythings alright, all cruizy(or is it?) ok everythings all glitz and glamor, normal , i noticed that if i try to change my password, my computer reboots, i can change the account name, but once i click into password and just hit any button, BOOM HEADSHOT.
the computer just got rebooted, i am not using any hacks, ive already tried reinstalling

I believe this has something to do with your system have you recently install any programs, add ons, divers on your computer.

This started happening to me like, 5 days before patch from .38 to .39, is it also weird, that one the same day, my steam (for counter strike) never started to this day....
i used virus search and it found none (avg free one)

Use System Restore, and go back 5 days ago.

Also, to get the password field, just press TAB, and if you have you account name saved, and wants to change it, just press Shift+Tab and change it.

maybe you could mention your system stats(eg OS, processor, any changes you have done to your pc) i won't be here to answer though seeing as i never play maple anymore(bf2 fanatic now) and so i don't come to this forum much.

i scanned with spyware s&d, got all that crap off my system, still restarts, but now, when i enter my correct password, and then push enter, it restarts, if i enter wrong password, only the message comes up, "you have typed incorrect password".
and as for my system, i know its a peice of crap, but i have to deal with it.

Intel pentium 4, 2.4ghz
256 mb ram (lol)
Microsoft XP (pro, ver.2002) SP2
Ati Radeon 9250 (im sure thats good enough for maple?)

oh yeah, i turned off system restore like a month ago :/

It's better than mine ;), only different is, im AMD Athlon.

You problem is very weird, try changing the resolution of you monitor, and also, try running Setup of MS.

after that scan, my steam worked (yay), but still restarted maple, i will try changing moniter resolution, and running setup of ms aswell.
