Weird Error

ok. so whenever i start up maple it has an error that says..

"error code : -2005532292 (unknown error 0x8876017C)"

any ideas?

This is not a maple problem, but a DirectX problem. DirectX is a program used to run games like maple.

lol well now when i start that application i get this error..

"Setup cannot continue because one or more pre-requisites required to install KB839643 failed. For More details check the Log File C:\WINDOWS\KB839643.log"

any ideas?

and i think that update u posted is for 2000. im running xp pro.

That just means they can't do the setup. What version directX do you have?

Reinstall your steam client it may solve the problems.

this is for maple.

and i run my maple on a different hdd than my steam so no worries.

Try downgrading your direct X. When I googled your error, the main result that came back was dealing with DirectX. Just google an earlier version of DirectX.

What jeff say is correct which is way i suspect the directX may be crashing with steam
