idk whats wrong help plz

everytime i load gms and start it everything goes smoothly. i sign in, everything until i get to character select. i double click my character and then it starts to load. then it just exits maplestory and it says the connection to the server has ended. im not hacking and ive reinstalled maple several times. ive also made sure it is allowed on my firewall. does anyone know wtf is wrong?

Did you delete your hosts file?

yeah, ive deleted it, uninstalled it, and reinstalled it multiple times

are you using any hacks while executing maplestory??

Try deleting your hosts file (not maple story file). Hit the following buttons:
Start
Run
Type: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
Ok
Find the file that only says "hosts" but without the quotes.
Right click
Properties
Un check read only
Apply
Ok
Right click hosts (again)
Open With
Notepad
Delete everything inside and paste this:

# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should

Right Click
Properties
Check Read only
Apply
Ok
Restart computer if you still can't access maple

do wht jeff told u. but did u restart maple immediately after GG restored ur hosts file? u have to quit b4 u log in and then restart

heya, im having the same problem as you, but if i put in jeff's host code into the host file instead it says "a hacking attemp has been detected" but i am trying to go legit so im not running anything.
