Question about bans

Ok I understand how the whole banning system thing works, for this game since its free, just make a new account.

But, If I do cheat on this game on a punkbuster enabled server and have the hack I'm using detected, will they hardware ban me/ ban me from the other PB protected games I play?

Basiclly I want to cheat on this game, but not have to worry about being banned off my other PB games :speechless:

depends on the cheat. if the cheat messes with pb then you've got a good chance of being hardware banned from all pb games. if it doesnt the most youl probably get is a ban from a 3rd party anticheat like aasa or aci which you can just make a new account for.

there are two diffrent types of PunkBuster bans.

GUID Ban -- Create a new account, and you are fine to play.

Hardware Ban -- You are banned from all PB enabled games, and creating a new account or buying a new CD key will not help you.

PB will only hand out hardware bans if you are using a hack that directly inferes with the scanning processes of PB or edits the PB files.

so basiccly just don't use a HW spoofer or mess with PB?

Soo I can cheat as much as I want with whatever you guys release, and I will never get get hardware banned, unless I try to mess up PB? I can use anything from E-Tags to aimbots?

Generally dont use cheats in leased unless you know what u r doing.

i dont think they will because once your GUID banned you will create a new account thats not banned.... so as long as you dont HW spoof or Screen shot Block your good :D
