Best way to find all unlock is to use Cheats list window in TSearch, add random CBFXXXX value - for example CBF1228 - and then try the next one CBF1229, CBF1230 and so on - dont forget on hex characters like D, C ...

HEX values - 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,A,B,C,D,E,F

Yeah, click "Add new cheat", enter the address (in the address column, not description), set to 4 bytes and the value should appear in value column.

Well it should work if you are doing it the way you and I described. Are you offline right? Not connect to any server?

Yeah thats right, 4512 is your current XP ... if you need 800 more to level, just add them to the 4512 (minus 1 or 10 or whatever - otherwise it will not count) -> enter 5302 and go to kill somone - congrats on your new level.

Im wondering how to get into internal csv files in CoD, I found number of references throughout the memory to csv files such as "mp/challengetable_tier2.csv", "mp/attributestable.csv". Any ideas?

It has to be said, that changes will only work if you'll connect to any server (you can even start your own).

Also, setting something like Vandalism to 1 will make it appear as if you've done it, but actually wont. You actually need to get the change when playing on any server.

So... if you want the M16 first unlock, just setting the value to 25 won't work. You need to set it to 24 and then score a kill with the M16.

Btw, I started the whole thing with TSearch. Why am I not to thank? :( Booo! (Just kiddin', have fun! :P )

EDIT:
I've attached a nifty little file. TSearch.cht for quite a few values to load up with, well, TSearch (weapons, exp, kills, streak, so on).
The other is my prepared MPDATA file for rank 55, all guns and mods unlocked. USE WITH RAZOR RELEASE KEY!
The file has cleared stats for your enjoyment (so you can track your actual kills and deaths and such and have fun getting achievements).

Okay... Some of them look wrong.

I made a simple memory map, checking for patterns and gaps. While most look pretty good, "Headshots" seems to have had a typo and "Last stand veteran" seem to be at an odd place..

Uhm, what do you need the challenges for? They don't give ANYTHING besides more exp.

Ya' can invite yer friend to yer house and show him how good you are and how many challenges ya' have completed.
Then you can join to random server and show yer friend how hard you suck (I don't mean *you* - I mean ppl who got lvl 55 and can't do shit in game, coz' they cheated their lvl).

As much as the XP value I can understand - someone might be good, but not have enough time to gain that on his own, or just be too lazy - I can't stand people who run around with 55lvl and can't kill anyone.
And teh 'pr0' challenges hacks - I can't stand it too - Every challenge I complete on my own makes me happier. I know I made it with my own mind and with my own hands.
As you said it gives nothing except mo' EXP, which ya' don't need, when ya' hack it via TSearch.

Do I look like I am against hacking? Hell yeah, I don't like it, but I always gladly watch the hacking scene, trying to understand them and even laughing at some of features in new hacks :) But I respect those talented coders, who make (WORKING!) hacks to protected multiplayer games. :)

Btw. to the guy who wants code to AK-74 submachine gun - just go to a DM [free-for-all] match for few minutes and kill 25 enemies. This ain't tha' hard.

Obviously you haven't tried hard enough. Tsearch opens .cht files.

There are two different offsets. Depending on 1.1 being installed or not.

To make it easier, the attached map has both.

Zachstu: to unlock weapon parts/mods/upgrades whatever you want to call them, enter the code for the weapon, I.E. "CBF12EC";"CBEA2EC" for the Barrett Expert unlocks. After hitting enter, a value will come up in the "Value" column. This is the amount of kills you have for that challenge. Change it to 24/74/149 depending on what tier you are on I,II or III. Hit enter. Now, load up a server, get one kill with the weapon you chose, and Boom! Unlock.

**Please Note!! taking the value straight to 149 will not unlock all three challeneges. You have to change the value each time. But make sure you are NOT IN A SERVER/GAME before changing any values.
Also, the Sniper marksman challenges are 100 kills, so change them all to 99. The expert sniper challenges still have the 3 tiers.

At the moment, there are two methods to gain stats.
One takes a pre-"finished" game file, with all the unlocks, where a "special" CD key must be installed, then replaced again by your own key.

The other method uses the number of kills and headshots, as well as your score, to let you gain things like additional features and ranks by just one kill, instead of lots of kills. For that, addresses are needed.

Wooly thinking. As you might have noticed, mpdata is encrypted. It could as well be a binary file.

Finding out how to decrypt it can take a serious amount of work. The current hacks are rather simple and they work. Under the curcumstances, trying to find out how they encrypted mpdata is an utter waste of ressources.

@Chilled: there are two sets of addresses. One for the original game, one for the patched (1.1) game. You most likely use the wrong set. (There is no ready-made tsearch file for 1.1 yet, so please use the memory map)

Assuming mpdata is encrypted, decrypting it would probably not produce results such as "EXP=XXX". You would probably still need to plug in the data in the correct places.

If you look at how the game writes to mpdata, there is more promise there, but that's all I'm saying for now...

Hm memory hack doesnt work anymore i guess that pb is blocking it. So the only way to lvl up fast is too replace your mpdata file/cdkey with another's who allready has lvl 55.

Steps:

1. Backup your original mpdata file
2. Ask someone with a higher rank then you for his/her mpdata file/cdkey
3. Place the mpdata file in your profile directory
4. Find codkey in registry and replace your cdkey with his
5. Start cod4mp and manually enter your own cdkey under multiplayer options
6. Enjoy!

Note: Remember you have to repeat those steps every single time you exit the game

Check my TSearch file (posted somewhere earlier). It's got a Marathon value (float). So, change that, till you're missing very little from completing the challenge, join a server (create your own) and sprint a bit, and viola.

That is, assuming you're not using the patch (which, as was said, screws up addresses).

I lost my 33-rank a couple of days ago, and I will use this trick to get it back. Same with my unlocks and stats. Hopefully we won't be forced to patch the game to play online any of the following days.

PB is not blocking the hack. 1.1 is using different addresses, that's all. The memory map should still be usable - or if it doesn't work for you, you basically should not use it anyway...

Why are people still using memory hacks to unlock things? The MPDATA file tutorial i posted in other thread unlocks level 55, all weapons, all skins (including gold) & with 95% challenges complete.

And works with v1.1 & v1.2 patches...

Nopthing against your tutorial - and it might be a good solution for some people.

But reasons for memory hacks? Sure !

Some people prefer to get the weapons, but like to finish the challenges themselves. (Personally, I wouldn't even want the level gain.)

Also, a jump form a level 5 character to level 55 might be difficult to explain for some people playing with friends - so they want to level up more slowly.

(Also, no stolen CD keys are involved - and when using memory maps instead of .cht files, you can actually understand what you are doing :) )

(But while I can agree with the use of technical means to influence availability of weapons, I am against the use of cracked/downloaded versions myself. As silly as it sounds, but someone has to pay the developers - or there will be fewer games... With Excel, you'll need to tell it to convert the data in the first column to data in multiple cells. OpenOffice Calc will ask you how to handle the file. Use ";" as a field separator.

Thats because my friend the cod4mmn.txt values (first previous download to this message) which contains supposive values for 1.2 truely doesn't work. They are just copied values for 1.1.

Memory hacks for 1.2 haven't been realised. I tried T-searching the values last night myself but now there are alot of dummy copies of the same code. Same with ammo.

Currently you'll just have to wait until someone looks deeper then t-search. Or earn it the ol' fashion way ;)

Ok I load up Tsearch and in the cheats window I look for the MP44 Expert address. It comes up but it has a value of 0. So do all the other guns. I edit the value to 50 and get no change in game?

Do I need to save the file? Am I putting in the wrong thing?

how exactly do we work tsearch to get the challenges done. Alot of them are a one time thing. Ex. Airbourne challenge. You get it once and you have it...no 3 stages... value of 1 or 0....if you put a 1 there you don't get the XP for it... how does this work?

The most laborous task is finding the first address. In this case, XP.
Use tsearch before and after a round. You should find one memory address holding the XP value before and after. Found it (or more)? Play another round to verify.

Then, you have a rough idea about where to look in memory. Luckily enough, memory addresses seem to be fixed :)

For weapons: From the challenges, get number of kills and number of headshots. Look for these values.
Play. Shoot someone in the head.
Look again.

If you use the TSearch to edit values (which is pretty nice program, n' it's easy to use it) then I got a table for you which you can import to TSearch, so you won't have to add every weapon by yourself - in this table you got all weapons so you just can change values.

Password to table is: pr0killers (0 - zero/null)

Remember to delete ".txt" from the file name. ;)

Is there a way to take away a rank, or anything like that? What I mean is, if you have a 100 percent on a weapon challenge, or another challenge, can you use this to take it away, and get it again? Just wanted to let everyone know that I am running Vista 32-bit and that I leveled up to 55 in about 2 hours using this technique and Tsearch 1.6b, located here:

Make sure to run both Tsearch and COD4 multiplayer in Win XP SP2 compatible mode.

Additional tip: Be sure to close Tsearch after using it every time you do an address edit. For additional safety (if you're paranoid) run tsearch off a USB thumb drive and then deactivate it each time before connecting to the server. Yes, Punkbuster knows about tsearch! For you CS/CS:S guys - Punkbuster is not like VAC/VAC2, be more careful here! Happy hacking! ;)
