I suggest getting a videocard from the 8800 series:
8800 GTS/GTX/Ultra

I would wait for the new dx 10.1 cards. The 8000's suck. My 7600 does 10 x better video playback and games then my 8600.

I heard that nvidia is soon launching the G90 series this winter or sping.Instead of having around 350 gigaflops (for G80 series) or ADM'S R600 with 475 Gflops, the G90 series will reach the téraflops or near of it and will come in 65 nm process.G90 should be a full DX10 part and will probably have 1GB of memory.Other than that I expect it will be much the same as G80 except faster.

i guest you can change/or add video card on your laptop.just open it and take a look if there is a slot for it.playing on a laptop is a pain ,this is why i never bought one.:alien:

Ahhh now I see, you have a laptop. My best suggestion is a 8700M.

I got a MSI 8500 GT OC edition.. 60 bucks on newegg.. Can play on all high settings w/ 2x AA , but no shadows or specular lighting. Gets jerky then. Can play on all high minus AA.
