@The Joker
Apologies for my ignorance, but what purpose does this serve regarding MS?
I can't think of a use regarding MS x] ...
... could you enlighten us on what it's uses are?
ipconfig /all ?

maybe not the best in terms of relation to ms.
But a nifty program.
I would have been more impressed if it had taken you hours however. Stretch your aims ;)
edit: move onto C/C++ [or delphi :P] VB will hinder you.

lol, thinking the same thing. IPCONFIG /all works and so does just double-clicking the network icon in your task bar.
Still, since we're actively trying to encourage pl to start coding this has to be commended.

true, VB can eventually get inaccurate or inconvenient when harder programs come by

Im disagreed with you mate.
It will depends of what you wants to do after all. VB is simple, insecure maybe, but simple (aka Basic). There are no reasons in make a program that takes you 5hours, that could be done in minutes at VB, that IMO. In such case, waste you time making it on ASM or brainf.ucker if is possible.
I know in CEF VB is really disliked, but dose'nt means it's bad because "pros" says it. Every programming language have his adventage and disventage compared with others afterall.

I know, and agree with many of your views.
I think I may be bias as I went from vb to delphi, and it really confused me as I was trying to order and construst in the same format as VB instincively.
I didnt mean take 5 hours to make the same program in a hrder language.
Im saying why make a really simple program that doesnt challenge you, when you can put time into constructing another program that does more, is more useful and you will also feel a great sense of accomplishment for finishing.
I dont diss VB because 'pros' do. I used to learn it [remember sOpener]. I dont egt on with it as it hindered me personally.
