Rtcw: Et -cd_key-

ehm lol man of course we know rtcw:et is a free game that everyone can download without using a f**king cd-key but for some minutes i get this message from rtcw:et when i want to connect to a server look at the picture..!

so i dont understand that.. i would presicate some help! of course i connected with the cvar unlocked exe and the "normal" exe but everything the same..

thats pretty beat up dood. if u do a /cmdlist, u'll see a command that says /BuyNow. you type it in and it sends you to an old site u could buy RtCW at, but the link is dead of course.

thats most likely because you didnt download the installer directly from the web but got it from a cd or from another pc thru lan..

thats what the faq says :)

i downloaded et from web instaled it things like that but no i made a new profile and i can play..but when i use my old one it simply says cd key in use LOL whatever funny things ;)

My friend had the same problem. Are you using gamespy to launch the game?

Guys, get a new "cd-key"

Press the tilde key (the ~ key) to bring down the game console from any game screen and enter the following command (without quotes): "/pb_cdkeyreg". You should see a message stating that a Registration Request was sent to the GuidAuth Master Server. After a few seconds (perhaps up to 30 seconds) you should see a message stating that the CDKey Registration was successful.

Once you get your key, make it a read only file to avoid this happening in the future.
