Now from my understanding your question is about why engines dont work on Vista.

Answer: Vista has different architechture around system kernel and usermode kernel which is what windows xp operating system operates by because this is where the main functions are called and defined. Now Vista will not support Engines because it has a different architecture so get yourself a windows xp pro sp 2 CD and install that over your vista and engines will work fine.

its weird cuz i bought a new laptop with Windows Vista, downloaded Maple onto it (despite already knowing Maplestory was not compatible) and when the pop up appeared saying the program was unknown and may not work, etc. I clicked to continue and poof, it worked...idk why it did and I can't understand why so many people had problems with it :ponder:
