An anti cheat named "newb cop" has been released and the word is spreading amongst server owners FAST

I bet my nuts on that the pics are fake.

Although it would be fun cheating on "save" servers and making fun of those who thing they are save. But i dont belive that there is anything that can detect cheats like "wallhack" without having the client running on cheatermachine. See, beta3 in example is a d3d hook. Which is running local. There is no connection between the d3d rendering and the server. Not a single byte about the rendering is sent to the server without a client software like punkbuster. so stop panic when you dont need to download some crap before joining a server.

ive actually been inside the anticheat file and it does look for the d3d8 file at all times, it would be quite easy to bypass if you know what to do.

Ok i agree its no fake. But who cares its roflmao the same thing like punkbuster. You download a client which checks you for d3d hooks. If you have some it says the server that you have. Well it shouldnt be hard to modify the clientpart to say the server youwere clean.

The Client/Server software may detect the cheats, but it will finaly be hacked and will still say the server that youre clean.

Lol there are MANY MANY other cheats than just the d3d hook and they do similar things and more.

Guys.....i would not be too worried about this anti-cheat utility...........the same day it was released, UBI announced that Punkbuster would be incorporated into Rvs in a few weeks.

there are still bugs with "Newbcop" and as a result of BOTH the bugs and UBI's actions, very very few servers have even bothered to install "Newbcop"....(last time I checked it was 5 servers only.......and one of the servers later reverted to not using Newbcop.

I say forget about Newbcop work arounds and concentrate on getting ready to circumnavigate Punkbuster.

But that's just my opinion:beard: :bath:

tru tru good point but untill pb comes out we need something to keep us busy while not playing rvs, it will be fun to go on these "safe" servers and own them .dun ya think????

Yes newbCop is very buggy, a client pc must have it to be able to play on a NewbCop server. Although running the game without any cheats, you will get accused of retlock when changing from primary to secondary weapon during the first few secs of the round.
As for the d3d beta cheats, it does get detected and boots you out of the server. Not sure about YMs retlock though, didnt have time to test it.

I got kicked outa my own test server for retlock when crouching and getting up right after moving forward.
NewbCop is a waste of time.

Retlock doesent work on 1.3..any other than the one on the oter tread here.. need a new retlock for 1.3 patch
