This section of MPC is the Maple Story cheating forum, not a MS game forum. This forum is for cheating related questions only. This is NOT the place to ask if a server is down for others too (for example). We also don't want to hear your life story or how you got banned, so just stay on-topic and try to help others as much as possible.
No selling or buying of hacks!
MPC is a forum based on the sharing principle. We do not have private sections where people can get their undetected hacks. We want everybody to have the same level of access to hacks. Therefore, we don't allow linking to sites that sell hacks. We also do not allow requests from people where they offer money, items or accounts in exchange for a hack. Users breaking this rule will be warned accordingly.
Do NOT beg/ask for hacks!
If we see a user asking for a hack rather than searching for it with the MPC Search (http://www.mpcforum.com/search.php) or Google (http://www.google.com/) we will warn/ban him and close/delete the thread without warning! Saying that you searched and that you're not begging is still not an excuse to make a thread in which you ask for a hack. This general rule applies: If you can't find what you're looking for using the search and threadlist, it's either not possible or has not been created yet, so there would be no point in asking for it.
Don't ask for updates of out-dated hacks!
The maker of the hack will eventually (or not) release an update so everybody is happy again. Five hundred users asking/begging for it isn't going to motivate cheatcoders in any way.

Most of you probably know rapidshare, a site where you can upload and host files for free so you can spread them over the internet. Great site, however, we don't want to see any more links to it in threads here!
We have an attachment approval system in place here in order to have the uploaded files scanned before the public is allowed to download them. This way we can ensure the safety of our users and don't have to deal with "I JUST GOT KEYLOGGED BY A HACK POSTED HERE! SCREW YOU!"-type of posts. The system works great, but it takes some time before Moderators can scan and approve the files because. After all, we're humans too, so please show some patience.
When a thread is made, people may say "Upload it to rapidshare(/any other upload site)!" & "Please approve the file!" & "I can't download, wtf?". Or maybe the threadstarter already uploaded the file to rapidshare and posts a link in the startpost. We don't want to see this anymore!
When a file is over the MPC Attachment system limit, PM a Moderator with the link of your uploaded file, to let it be approved. Only approved links will be allowed to be posted!
Give credits to those who deserve them!
If we see a user posting a hack/tutorial that was made by somebody else and he does not give the proper credits, he will get a severe warning. Do NOT claim something to be your own, while it's not. That's low, just not done and it can lead to a permanent ban. Also, don't post hacks/tutorials that the maker did not want released. It's called leaking and it's lame.
If you have proof a hack wasn't made by the poster and the poster did not give proper credits, report the post using the /!\-button next to it.
Give details of your problems!
If you have a problem with a hack and you ask for help in a new/existing thread, nobody can help you if you only say: "I start the hack and it doesn't work! Please help!". Give more detail on what you have tried, what error you get and what the program doesn't do right.
Don’t bump old threads!
Hacks may sometimes stop functioning properly or stop working completely because of a game update. This is normal, so if you come across a very old thread (Last post was more than 2-3 months old or so) that contains a hack that doesn't work anymore, don't bother asking how to get it to work. It's most likely not your fault, but the hack's/game's fault it's not functioning anymore.
Don’t bump your threads or post your question multiple times!
The only thing this will do is annoying the regulars in this section and that will certainly not motivate them to answer you. Just wait until someone replies. Bumping a thread if it's over 2 days old and nobody has tried to help yet, you're allowed to bump it of course.
And more specific to this section:
No PIN cracking discussions! Asking for PIN cracking, posting information about it, or offering the service, talking about anyting related to it will get you banned for three days – no exceptions will be made. Pincracking is stealing someone else's account and while MPC supports ingame hacks, it considers the stealing of other people's accounts illegal and immoral.
MPC is not a game support site - do not post game errors in the main gaming sections!
Discussion about the game experience, gameguard errors, game patches and such will have to be posted in MS Technical Support ( http://www.mpcforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=172).
Do not post whether MPC should allow the release of cheats to leechers or noobs or whoever!
MPC is a public cheat forum and all cheats/hacks that are public will be posted.
Requests are punishable!
Seeing as how they're just another form of begging but are also dependent on the situation. We will not hesitate to act on this so you better be careful on what you're "requesting".

Stop asking for private hacks or hacks that don’t exist. If you have a working one, post it, if not, don't even bother talking about it.

When answering to a thread, make it a valuable answer!
So, don’t post ‘search, you noob’, or anything similar to that.
When bringing a hack that is not your own to MPC
Then make sure that the first post contains:
- Permission of the creator of the cheat to post it here (screenshot, irc log, etc).
- Credits to the creator of the cheat. The only exception is about scripts that are universal, such as MyGod or a vacuum.
- Do not use the [RELEASE] tag when you are bringing a cheat that is not self-made to MPC, use [Brought To MPC Forums] or something similar instead.
Note: updating a script does not make the cheat your own!
