There are some good packet editors, them are:
Trainer Spy (packet analizer)
Windows Packet Editor: Wpe1.3 - packet sniffer/modifier - win95/98.
Windows Packet Editor: Wpe-Pro - packet sniffer/modifier - win2k/Xp

You could try PacketForge. It was made by someone from MPC I think. I'll have a look on IRC when I get on and see if they will allow me to upload it.

With regards to your question: The bottom line should explain it.

Would be cool if u could upload it but we'll still need a hoffman decrypter :(

The Sig of Syphoon means:
I try to learn Dutch

I'm german and with a bit of fantasy i could be that ;)

@Topic: Well does XP really only receive them??? I cant imagine that cause then a game wouldn't be able to work! EVERY Game sends packets in MP.....

Hmm, Hofman? Are you sure you guys arent talking about the Diffie-Hellman public/private key encryption method?

Anyone know on what principle Hofman operates?

I know how it works theoretically. So I wouldnt be able to crack anything by just looking at packets. Besides, it seems as the DH algorithm is too complex for this. They might be using the Huffman comrpression algorithm though. Which one were you guys talking about? Confess! :)

yes i think so but we want to have it decrypted then we could change it and send it back :tit:

Yea, that's what I was thinking about. Check this PDF on it, it doesnt seem possible if you think about how it works. Cause you would need that conversion table to decompress the contents, and if it's dynamically built... then i dont know how we'd get it. I doubt it's too feasible to look for it in memory.

I looked at it only i dont get it lol.

If someone who understanded it could take a look at it then we could make some progress :tit:

well here's how it basically works:

you have your data: oaenaofbnaodfjikjkjkjkjkjkjkjkjkjj

you want to compress it, so what you do is assign different values to things that repeat frequently. so for example the jkjkjk would be represented by two bits 01 and the other characcters would also get similar representations. We can save a lot of bits since instead of using 8 bits per character, we can use 4 or 2 or etc.

The problem is how do we get the conversion table that the game uses to decompress this data?
