Lowering Ping

How do you do it? I'm usually running about 32FPS on CSS and my ping on the server that I play at is usually 35-40 even when I'm running iTunes and JavHax. But now for now reason its 300+ when I'm not running anything else. Can anyone help me?

It is never wise to play on-line and run other stuff that will eat your ping. Might be an idea to scan for malware.

Maybe you ISP is slowing you down. In the UK some ISPs will slow down your connection if you have reached your allotted download/bandwidth limit, maybe you ISP does the same.

I'm guessing something interfering with your connection such as your firewall, try to disable it and see what happens. Other than that just might be the server.

it could be plenty of things, server location, your location, your bandwidth, etc. what speed connection do you have? speedtest.net. post the link when you test. do that without anything open
