follow the directions there to change your mac address, which might change your ip adress

you might have to reset your modem/router so copy down the settings so you can put them in again

then after that delete your qkey (your guid), then your name,

then if all goes well you should be unbanned to cause more trouble

I'd just unplug the modem for 15 minutes to an hour and then plug it back in. This has worked for me on both cable and DSL. Your chances are about 1 in 4 of getting a new IP.

No, actually the few servers that cannot be fooled by a simple IP change use MAC addresses to identify banned users.
