Could someone offer me some help?

I was just wondering if there is a way to revert your game back to the original CD key WITHOUT doing a full uninstall/reinstall, I stupidly used a CD generator, and while I can play mods with content checking off, i believe, I cannot get into ones with content on, it says invalid cd key. Also, if the content checking is on will I be able to get into it anyway with TVDC .38?
Just wondering, your help is greatly appreciated, and my apologies for being a nOOb...lol

sorry jason, hafta reinstall, but since you dont have the original cd, but you can get the key, install someone else's cd, but use your key. ask around to who in your neighborhood has it.

Coward is wrong in this instance - no need to reinstall.

Navigate to (via regedit):

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Electronic Arts\EA Games\Battlefield 1942\ergc

There you can change the cd-key.

wicked toad and thanks coward, you guys are great...one more ? though...I looked around and it does let me into some servers just fine but not others so am I being blocked from servers with content on or has the CD gen given me a CD key that someone in that server is already using?
And I want to be able to contribute to this community, what are some good modding programs like the ones used to alter skins and weapons, I already have photoshop so I know I can edit DSS files but can someone give me links to the other programs?

I did it on accident double clicked a file instead of right click and delete it, sounds stupid doesn't it?
