TCPA - Bastard Companies
-------------------------------------
The TCPA (Trusted Computing Plaftform Alliance) is an organization founded byCompaq, HP, IBM, Intel, and Microsoft. The TCPA is planning and trying to getevery computer to have a TPM (Trusted Platform Module), or the Fritz-Chip. What this would do is limit your computer GREATLY of what it can do on the internet. Basically, only companies or people with a certificate can do the ability to create websites. But since this certificate is so expansive, no single person or small to mid-range companies can afford it. Only the large
companies will control the internet. This will have a huge impact on every SINGLE average computer user in the world. From the geek obsessive computer master to the casual journal user. If there are journals to use.. But these modules would not only apply for online use, offline use as well! Pirated software would be elminated eventually (looking at kazaa mostly). The companies could also decide what you are able to use on your computer as well as what you can write even! Say if you wanted to write a sex story of your own, it could be removed, say if you wanted to say your opinion against political leaders, it could be removed.
