tweak pc to play mohaa + see (ONLY) friend through wall

Hi, i installed Windows 98 on my old pc to play MOHAA.
The problem is that I have a huge lag while playing this game. I already set every setting of MOHAA to (Low/lowest) without good results.

Do you guys know any MOHAA/Windows 98 tweaks to make it possible to play mohaa on my old pc, could I use a no-tree hack or smoke-removers (nofog) to play MOHAA better (I have low FPS (usually arround the 5 - 20)

and another thing, is there a way to see a friend of mine through walls (i want to stay with him while gaming) other users may not been seen through walls...

Those are the minimum requirements for the game. First of all, you dont have the minimum required processor, which is 500mhz for an amd. So its not gonna be fast no matter what you do. 2nd, you have a 16mb video card, granted that is the minimum requirement, but thats like saying you COULD steer your car with your feet, doesnt mean you should. Also its PCI card, not a AGP slot, so again, gonna be slow. In closing I dont think there is any way you can make it run faster, short of upgrading your computer. As for the skin thing, if you go get a cham skin that is detectable, in other words one that doesnt replace the stock skins, and have your friend play as it, you could see him and only him. Only problem with that is your friend could get kicked for using custom skins. Good luck with that.

well, but MOHAA works on it, not perfect, but it works!
anyway, i noticed that my PC crashed every time when there are alot of ppl on the server shooting at eachother, is there a way to 'remove smoke & fire-tracers?'

i have 435mhz...meh runs fine for me..well except wen loading up ;) tends to take a lil' longer than the rest lol...but i have a geforce 4 graphics card...so that gives my comp and added thump

my old p3 500mhz pc with a GeForce2 ti was ok for MOH if i played with min to medium detail settings. i dont think its the CPU thats so bad but rather your GFX card which should run at AGP 4x to be fast enough for MOH. your system is probably too slow in general so you can tweak as much as you want, it will lag nevertheless

hahahah my comp is WIndows Me; 128 RAM; 866MhZ, but it is crap my FPS is so lowwwwwww. Its a voodoo3000 i think im not sure...im gonna get a getforce4

I'd love to have one of those new g-force cards but they're always so ****ing expensive :P
Currently i have a ati radeaon 9000 pro and i have no problems playing mohaa whatsoever, usually ive got about 80 fps :)

If you really got problems running mohaa set r_picmip a bit higher.

Sorry GrumpySpyGuy, Ill make this post usefull. I would make sure NO programs are running in the background of windows, I.E. virus scanners, firewalls, anything besides basic windows components. Do this by pressing alt+ctrl+del and looking at the window for anything like AVconsole32 or something, then end the process. Also, unless you are totally broke, you can easy upgrade your memory for 20 to 50 bucks to faster memory and more of it. Also you can get a geforce 4200 for like 100 bucks, or less. Both of those might help you a bit.

when i was running win98 i had some severe lag issues. happened to be that i needed a windows update. after i did that all my lag problems disappeared. goto microsoft.com to update your version of windows if you havent already. might help you.

And for only being able to see your friend through a wall, just take some chams, open the pk3, and delete all the skins except one, like the german scientist, then tell your friend to wear that skin, and turn force models off.
