if you are getting a No Label error go into your game click settings video settings and check the No Clientside Effects. that should work, and before runnign evil hack make sure you go into the game go into settings/video and turn all settings to Ultra high and press accept before exiting

Works fine here and i'm on XP.
All I can think of is that either you have downloaded some Windows Update which is causing a conflict, or something more general like a firewall is blocking you from playing.
If you can tell us what sort of errors you are getting we can narrow down the problem.

I have the same problem sometimes and I use win98, so I doubt it is XP.

read what i said up there! open your aao game (without evil hack) go into settings then video settings click the advanced tab and check No Clientside Effects.
