If you are on a nice connection, ADSL 512 and above, at the start of each match enter in this command in the console
netspeed 45000
What this does is grabs more packet from the server thus allowing more FPS, with torm you can average around 50 which is playable. If you're not using torm and everything is on low you'll get in the region of 60-80:bunny:

mmmmmmmmmmmmmm............lets all talk absolute rubbish :P:P:P
fps, whilst to a certain degree does depend on your connection...it also relies MORE SO on your hardware............guess what..I have dsl(512)...my netspeed setting is set to the norm game setting ......but my fps is always around 90-100 and peaks at 130 :P........doing netspeed 45000 is of NO USE TO ME whatsoever......:bath:
oh yeah...I also meant to mention the fact that inputting the WRONG netspeed for your exact connection,, hardware and options will cause packet loss. This will result on increased bugs eg frag lock etc etc etc)

Well chetnicks you have a very nice computer than. I never get frag locked in game, ever. I've only been frag locked like 2-3 times a couple patches back.
While it's no use to you, it may help others.
It didn't generally help my fps a whole lot(it doesn't dip down as much)
But my ping wouldn't budge under 90 in an eastern server (i live east coast) and after setting my netspeed to something larger in game, i am able to achieve (or at least it SHOWS my ping at) 31-40ms.

Chetnicks it is of great use to alot of people. Making a significant difference, so next time you try and bash something dont actually just think of yourself

Hmmmmm,
But wouldnt entering netspeed=45000 on a server that caps client rate to say 10000 be a moot point? The server is locking your upper limit to 10000 so entering 45000 wont do anything, unless Im mistaken....

Very few servers cap m8 mainly because everyone knows the UBI problems and know what people do to go around them :bunny:

I see that, but even then, the default ClientRate is still only 25000. So a value of 45000 is still capped at 25000 :( on those default servers.

45000 make no sense,or do you have 5mb connection?4000 is standard,10000 is usefull with dsl under 1mb,above 1mb up to 20.000
