3rd person for CoD

hi,
i finally got the command for 3rd person but when i enter it, it says, ''/cg_thirdperson 1 is cheat protected''.
My question is.. how can u still put it on??

Open the call of duty exe file with a program called hex pad [do google search to get it]

search for the command and then edit it to what dark just told you then save it and load

i've got hex editor, but its not in callofduty.exe, i can only find it in config.cfg, if i change it there, do u think it will work too then?

Mmm, try the dlls like cgame.dll - Im not 100% sure havent touched COD yet. someone else might know tho..

i would think that you would have to do this:


3rd PERSON
Open up cgamex86.dll
CTRL+F and then type in third.
it should bring up cg_thirdperson 1
Change cg to sv.
File>Save



SETTING CHEATS ON
Open up CoD.exe
CTRL+F and then type in cheats
change cheats 0 to cheats 1
File>Save


it should work.

hmmzz... when i open CoD.exe (SP) and i type ''cheats'', i don't see ''cheats 0'' like u said. I only see ''You must have cheats enabled too use r_loadsun......'', the cgamex.dll worked like u said, not fully, but most were there. Like u said when u type ''third'' u'll get cg_thirdperson 1 right, well i see cg_thirPerson. Btw do u really need to set cheats to 1?

Edit: i finally got it now, i added the line: ''+set thereisacow 1337 +set developer 1 +set sv_cheats 1 +set monkeytoy 0''
and when i type ''sv_thirdperson 1'' it goes into 3rd person but the problem is, it goes all wrong :S:S, i can't see my body, and when i shoot, it shoots very strange and in a wrong way, omg HOW CAN IT BE GOOD

Heh I don't think that at any time in that game do you see another person at 3rd person. It would be awesome to get a way to free spectate while still alive :P

He means after altering the cg command to sv, open call of duty again, open console with ~(tilde), and then type /sv_thirdperson 1 and it may work.

3rd person is pointless is CoD, its nothing like medal of honor its more of a fov change.

Yeh, third person is crap but if you have about 120 fov it is cool.
Look a few posts down for disabled cheat protection.
