rofl again... Half Life 2 is suposed to come out around march. I get it the first day it comes out. ATI are having special offers buy a card you can get Half Life 2 shiped to you or you can download it and have half life 1 with it with all the mods.

Key word . Its meant to be april actually . But then again It was meant to come out in september but the stolen stuff ain't even near Beta levels . more like early alpha . And you get a voucher now the new radeons :/

Important notes: To all servers hosters come on irc and tell us your server adress so we can update the server list on our website. You can also send them to the 2nd website on the comments.Plz do it so we can update the server list and have more ppl playing. :)

How to download :

2.Come on #team.rival @ irc.rizon.net and wait for the bots to show what they have to offer which should be cz 1.3.

How to extract :

1.Get winrar here : http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm. Then install it, open the .rar file and extract it.You should get files ending with .001, .002 etc.

2.Choose any of these files and press extract and it will extract a .bin and .cue which you can burn or mount to a virtual cd-rom using the guides below.

How to burn :

1. Get alcohol 120% or any image file burning software(I highly recommend alcohol). You can get alcohol 120% here : http://www.cd-rw.org/software/cdr_software/cdr_tools/alcohol120.cfm

2.Install it, open it and there you will have the main window.

3.Choose image burning wizard and point it to your image file. Press next and there you will see the burning options. Choose Raw Dao and Enable buffer underrun technology then choose your burning speed. That's it just be sure writing is enabled and not simulation and press start and it will burn.

How to install without burning :

1.Go into your alcohol 120% main window again and choose virtual drive options at the left.

2.In number of virtual drives choose 1, save changes and go back to main window. You should now see your virtual drive at the bottom of the main window.

3.Right-click your virtual drive and choose mount image. Go search for your file and mount it.Done, it should now work like a real cd-rom drive and the installer menu will pop up.

Installing it steam, non-steam or play directly from cd:

1.Here you have 3 choices : installing steam or installing non-steam. If you install in steam it will automatically detect your steam half-life folder. Non-steam should point it to another directory. If you install it on steam or non-steam you will not see the servers in the steam servers. You can also play directly from cd which is as non-steam.

2.Steam : Using steam worries some people but I must say I dont really care since half-life is like 10$ and the worst they can do is ban your account which will probably not happen. With steam you can either connect to steam or non-steam servers.

3.Non-steam : Using non-steam is my favorite way for lans but using it online can cause some problems : you cant connect to steam servers. You need to connect to non-steam servers only. You do not need internet to play with non-steam.

4.Playing directly from cd : Its like non-steam except it doesnt install so it doesnt save you configs and Im not sure if you can connect to servers but I think you can connect to non steam servers. You dont need internet neither to play from cd.

How to play with bots :

1.Open the game, then create a new multiplayer game and add bots.

How to play online :

1.Wether you play with steam or not here you dont have the choice but to add servers to favorites manually or type connect ip in console(ex: connect 213.21.32.324). To find servers you can search for them using gametiger.com, serverspy.net or search.hslw.net for steam. For non-steam(or steam) you can simply go to our servers list here : http://www.foriamroot.com/rival/ you will find it right at the main page of our website. You can also use these : czservers.cjb.net, czserver.cjb.net or czservers.ingame.org which will redirect you to our website.

How to set up a dedicated server :

1.The best, easiest and mostly the one you will get more players is using the non-steam dedicated server. Install non-steam then open hlds.exe and be sure to make it "lan" so everyone can join or "internet" for steam users only and put secure on so there will be less hackers.

2.You can use steam to host a dedicated server but to do so you need to put all your czero folder into your dedicated server folder and non steam players cant connect to your server.

Thats all i can think of for now lets hope that guide will help you with all your "noob" questions. If you need more help come on irc and ask your question on main channel.Have fun playing ! ;)

a good thing might be, if there hasn't changed anything on the engine (since the leaked beta) all 1.5 hacks will work without probs. At least 5 clienthacks I tested with success.
