3rd person aiming idea!!

i was wondering if there was an server side program you can make that could add a sort of "sighter" on weapons. To dull it down it is a laser sight type thing that looks in the direction the weapon is looking so when you go into 3rd person you can see where the gun is looking. the crosshairs in infliction etc. dont let you aim properly when looking up at a certain angle and looking down at close range.

So a laser sight which shows where the gun is pointing and have it so it shows throguh the person whould help for 3rd person mode :)

it can be done server side for mohaa, through scriping...dono about clientside in CoD...ask virusssss or 3rr0r they might know.

Star Wars: Jedi Academy and all those games use the Quake 3 engine and they have 3rd person aiming. Maybe we could rip something from them.

i play 3de person with a crosshair from this hack InFLiC7i0n GL v1.0. works fine for me

As i said...teh crosshair from infliction does not let you aim properly when looking up after a certain angle and looking down on a certain angle. When i am on a box or soemthing and someoen comes around the corner i cant really aim down at them all too well. Also the crosshair from infliction you have to aim above the crosshair at a certain distance and below at certain distances because it is set to be a 1st person centre crosshair only.

Maybe their new release will add a hotkey for first person and make it so it automatically gives you a calibrated crosshair for it :)

if you zoom in with a gun (not sniper) i thinks the crosshair is perfect don't know but am getting alot of kills with that
