GM asked "why do you bot?"

a friend of mine from pRO Loki just got whacked by GM Miyu and she had the nerve to ask why my friend bots. and he f*cked her with his answer ... coz of the LAG b!tch! then log offs forever. wish i had been there to tell her meeself.

now, why do you guys and gals (if any) bot? to test your powers over programs or the limitations of your skills? don't bother to answer my question if you're just gonna say "to cheat".

the reasson i bot because it's quicker for one thing and i want to see how good of a person i can make within so lil time and see how much money i can make.

for a 3 day free trial, i can make a level 40 swordman botting 8 hours a day. if i was botting 24 hrs a day, i could make a knight before the trial expires.

bot can also be used as a hacking tool by sending packets etc blah blah blah..
im trying to learn how to hack, learning packets, reading them understanding them, breaking into a server etc...
other reason is because of extreme lag. sometimes i need a money maker.
most of the time im tired playing my char because of lag and sometimes i dont have time to play. thats all

It costs them money to run the server too... imagine the whole 10k people only join to use bot and just for the 3 days trail ;)
They know about lags, they know about all the problems. Yes, they pretend to be deaf. They wont act, because doing something about it means it costs them more money, they will try to avoid that if possible. ^_^;


And please people, languages (Goddess), and no flaming, name callings. I'll leave this thread for a while and see how it goes, if only spams and flames are coming from it, it will be closed ^^;

i bot mainly because of LAG. and sometimes it gets boring to repeatedly kill a monster a hundred times just to get a lv up. and i have other things to do not just play RO the whole day so need bot to lv my character

Well, why bot?

Because RO is a WASTE OF TIME.

At one point, playing becomes so redudant and boring that it drives you insane. I mean, come on, I have my own life outside the small and minute world of RO to worry about.

Besides, nothing, I mean NOTHING is wrong with botting as long as you don't bother other players directly (like killstealing). You're paying for service anyway.

Gravity is just so obsessed in protecting their software that's why 3rd party programs aren't allowed...

HOWEVER, Gravity is not obsessed with protecting their software.. the reason they gave is actually that botters destroy RO world's community.

The prices for items will be dropped, they will have no true value (imagine everyone with a whisper card; it'll be like a poring card, selling for maybe a little higher price.. 3000z?).

They dont want that to happen.. and it *will* happen, if everyone bots, and get lucky, and gets cards.. Chances of person playing themselve and wasting lots of time trying to get the card are not less likely to happen than to use the bot, IMO.

i read in another forum that LUG/pRO will be fixing the lag problem between dec 25 and jan 5 coz it wasn't possible for them to fix it during any other time ... now do we have to wait till this coming dec 25 again?

bot? i stopped botting for now... but when the 2 new server arrive... hmmm ill bot again... ive wasted almost all of my allowance for RO and it sucks... havent done any homework lately.... got a 2.5-3 average and it sucks! well... i bot if im doing something more important.. like family,homework that kinda stuffs...

easier to lvl up... lag... gets boring killng mons again nd again and stil dont lvl up.... i should know, got banned two times already...

quit playing pRO for awhile, its just a waste of money... go waste ur money in july when the 2-2 jobs are implemented(so i heard, so i hope), and hopefully a lot less lag

...oh yah i got tons of other games to finish, not to mention PS3 is on the way and i havent finished all of my PS2 games

RO takes so much time finish(at least Ep.3 that is)... good thing i got my private server running... already beaten some of the boss mons except Dracula, Zombie Dragon and Lord of Death... seen all the items available for Ep.3

playing too much RO is a waste of time, botting makes ur RO life easier you can still do your other things while playing.

Its the same thing.. if u dont like to be called a bot, just manully control over it and play like a text based RPG. It has a greater advantage because it minimize the Laggggggggg.

Hi,i bot because, it takes so long to get all 6 jobs!!!! and also,scared i didn't get all 6 be4 i have to pay,Sob sob sob so that's 1,2 is i will get bored like hell killing and killing and killing unless i kill with a friend and 3 is that's it
