Does this happen with any other games, or even just when you're doing nothing on ur PC?

Do you get any error message?

Does windows shut down?

Do you get any beeps when it restarts or is about to restart?

No, he turns off direct, when I try to call again, he turns off once again, that just happens in MU.

hey, happened to me too, i think this is an athlon bug, i have athlon 2000+,

i would get blue screen and then restart at a random time, i uninstalled, reinstalled, and let it autoupdate, and now it works, i later added cheats to it

well, now it will jsut freeze for like 5 seconds, but i would rather have it do that then renadomly restart my computer,, i just freeze now, and keep going, kinda like lagg

o well, hope that helps, jsut uninstall and reinstall, and let it autoupdate, that helped me, also, get the music for the game from the site, i added that too, and it worked, so yeah, hope it works

hah, i jsut noticed something, my online game name: UberNoob is actualley a rank in the forums, damn u forums, i want my name back, i had it for so many years, actualley, it was UberNoobMaster but that will not fit

sorry about this reply, u can ignore it, i had to say it tho

Hi I stopped playing Mu for a few months because I gave up on trying to find out why my pc kept rebooting when i tried to play mu.

I finally figured out that was a compatibility problem with norton 2005, when i uninstalled norton my problem was fixed.

if you dont have norton maybe it is a conflict with another newly installed peice of software.

anyway hope this helps as i wished i could of found out my problem sooner hopefully this will help sum1. cya :teeth:

Im inclined to agree. When I used to start Mu when I had norton running, there was about a 1/10 chance of my computer failing and me getting a blue screen message. I didnt notice this untill mrme2004 said, but as soon as I uninstalled norton and installed kaspersky it has happened since.

Maybe this is also why other people's computers restart when they edit there hosts file for the bypass.

Try this...

Unscrew the sidepanel of your computer, only one though...

Tell me what happens...

I have an Athlon Xp 2000+ along with 512Mb DDR and GeForce FX 5200 and 400 W Power Supply and I started crashing in MuOnline along with other games...

Just take one panel off and your computer should stop crashing, if it continues to do so, consult the manufacturer of your parts after you have checked your task manager for conflicting tasks :)

All taking off the case would do would be allowing dust to build up on the inside of the computer... wouldnt do anything else.

All i can suggest is searching around in a techie forum.

Thats a load of shit, If anything its norton screwing it up. As soon as I deleted norton and installed kaspersky mine stopped crashing. (used to blue screen every now and again when launching mu)

All taking off the case would do would be allowing dust to build up on the inside of the computer... wouldnt do anything else.
the cpuFan+heatsink would blow directly out of the case
it would do something, doing this lowers ur temperature by 7 degrees F. if u have no fans in ur case...,
if ur computer is a custom and never put fans in it, consider it.
if u got fans already, get a program called Motherboard Monitor
to monitor cpu temperture.

always if u messed with the bios, and overclocked, sometimes the cpu doesnt get enough voltage and restarts the computer (not sure about this fact -.- )

- another thing i have found out, with Asus motherboards turning on "Q-fan" control causes ur CPU-fan to randomly turn off, and cuase computer to heat up Fast, maybe ur computer restarts itself.

well thats only if, HEAT IS YOUR PROBLEM
try reformating,,,that solves crap
