hey, i dont know if slackers_norecoil.txt is detected by pb or not, but this morning, i got kicked out of a game for 2 minutes by punkbuster because i had slackers no recoil document in my system folder(it even said that slackers_norecoil.txt kicked me out), is it possible that pb actually detected it?

but see i have had that in my folder for over a month now, and nothing has happend untill today

Maybe PB is getting a little smarter (but let's face reality here....It's obvious they aren't the sharpest tools in the shed). But a simple way is to rename every .txt file you get from here to something only you will know (just basic common sense, not something like "awesome cheats.txt"), this will in essence personalize every txt.file making it impossible to look for every one.

To not get detected, put it outside of ravenshield folder, pb cant look outside ur folder :)
Also, (spooky's idea) in your readme.txt erase what is there and put the line exec whatever it is called, and make f10 say execute what is inside readme.txt

Just rename the txt file to something really small
like

text.txt

put it in another folder inside your system folder, and your exec line will be

"exec \folder\text.txt"

put the text file outside of rvs folder, and your exec line will be

"exec c:\folder\text.txt"

Im pretty sure that will work. Don't put these files right into your system folder, they will be found out.

This happened to me too.... Something bout and MD5 error... I have renamed it but it is still inmy system folder. Do you think i sould move it to another one?

MD5 Error is pointing at an invalid check of required game files. Reinstall.

What happened here is the server admin created a md5 check to look in the system for any file by the name of "norecoil". As soon as it fnds anything in the system folder by that name you will be kicked from the server. Solution: rename the file to like some number "12345.txt" or you could do as SC suggested and place it in a outside folder. Only thing, when/if pb ever scans the ini for values and such it wont matter if this script is in the system folder or not.

I thought server admins could only check for MD5 in dlls/exes?

They can use the MD5 tool to check for missing files, or files that shouldnt be there. They arnt actually checking the md5 of the txt, but they are scanning the system folder for specfic file names, such as "retlock" or "recoil".
