Well Lasix, you inspired me.

D/L'd tsearch yesterday and have been checking out all sorts of memory locations. I'm just staring with a mini-map enhancement.

I've tried the pointer in the 1942 tutorial with the offset and I can't get the location to give me a value. I assume this has changed for bfv? Am I on crack? LOL

I'm fairly sure that once I get the hang of finding things it will be ok, but I'm a little poor on method atm. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

JJ

OK.. so I read more. ;)

I found the address on my machine by using the search and "search within search" which t search calls "search next" and was able to toggle the mini-map colors for my guy back and forth... I'm now moving to your post on JNZ. :D

Hot on your trail,

JJ

JJ, Good job man. Keep it up. I know it sucks the tuts on here are pretty vague. After you found the address you need to decide what language your going to use to make your code caves with. Alot of peeps use VB. Max has a template on here that will help you make it. MAn i didnt know a damn thing about this stuff a bout 2 weeks ago just ask questions and these guys will help ya. I had a hard time with the language and i still am...but i am getting it...let me kow if i can help ya

Wouldn't you want to use ASM for the code cave? - I'm refreshing my memory w/ it at the moment.
Also, am I correct in assuming that trainer builders will be detected? I've seen many tutorials on building your own trainer, but its just programming in C. I haven't used C in 5 years.

yes most trainer makers are detected by PB. Most of the people now are using VB to make their trainers. Caliber made his in ALL asm. I have read of others doing it c++.

As for back on topic, I found something funny. I can bring up the Inf and Veh of the enemy being GRAY! I found how to color it from there. I am just testing out some different ways on how to do the minimap.

lol yes, didnt test it in bfv but in bf42 you can also nop one jnz and all the players that are shown on the map are green :D (like buddy)
