Try updating your graphics card drivers, directX, and sound.

What I dont understand is this is a cheating forum. Lets keep the talk about cheating, not just about the game. If you want to talk about the game, goto a gaming site such as bf-v.com or bfstats

Maybe it would be easier to give you some help if you could specify your spec on that laptop.

Mathew are you retared? I mean come on it's a labtop for crying out load. Your video card might not support it, why don't you go buy a real computer. I mean I don't know alot of people that play Battlefield games on a labtop.
But for most of all your computer's video card might not support it.

u know this is the exact thing that happened on my laptop, hp series, and i think it really doesnt matter on the vid/sound card or anything b.c everytime i loaded up it would make it to the actuall map laoding screen and then would crash, but works fine on desktop... so i dunno mabe its a wierd conicidence or something u be the judge

No wonder why..you need something more than that buba...lol 64 MB is something you could put in a Mp3 player man...you are sad
TripnBears whats your Video card?

nvidia i believe gforce 3, thats why i know its not my vid card and theres nothing wrong with the sound so it has to be the laptop itself b.c it works fine on my desktop

It might be that the labtop's video card might now support it....plus labtops aren't made to support those types of games.. I mean it can support games but with those types of graphics like BFV your going to have to get something WAY over that 64 mb..

Yea but there are such laptops that can handle games like this. Alienware and Dell both make good gaming laptops. In fact I just ordered a Dell laptop that is better then my desktop. Now how about that.

yea I checked out the voodoopc ones. I found them lacking everything that I wanted. My total price with everything I wanted, even with the 16.7 wide screen, extra battery packs(3 hours) came to $4100. The nice thing about voodoo is they use AMD chips over the Intel chips(I am a big AMD fan). The main reason why I am getting my laptop is for my trip out to vegas on the plane(I want to be able to watch a movie(best screen for it and batterys) and in vegas I will be going to Defcon and dont want to have to run to my room to charge the battery every 2 hours. Voodoopc has good speaker setup, but I got $117 headphones that I use for gaming now and can tell where enemys are 10x better then any speaker setup. See and the other things is your not getting nearly as half the options to choose from at voodoopc that you get at dell or alienware. The AMD chip was still saying buy me tho, but I still went with dell in the long end.

i bought my notebook from SAGER notebooks. for awhile, they supplied the OEM for alienware and many others (alienware just put thier new coat of paint and stuck the little alien head on them and then charged way more). anyways, the notebook works fine. they put all the latest stuff in there. my notebook kicks many player's desktop computers' ass. so, yes a notebook computer these days can be very awesome. my desktop is better by probably 10% and i can notice the difference, but the notebook is very smooth and playable if you get a powerful one. the cool thing is that you can take it with you almost anywhere and it takes up so little space. headphone port allows you to hear the sounds although most come with little tiny speakers built in which are fair. you'll probably never beat the desktop but the notebooks are worthy gaming rigs now if you get a powerful one. you can get a pretty good one for $1800 to $2000 from SAGER. of course the big names like alienware (and now DELL has a kickass one) have gaming rigs, but they will cost you. sorry this is off topic thread but just my two cents. i love my notebook and mainly because of it's portability and doesn't take up hardly any room.
(SAGER NOTEBOOK: 3.2 GHz hyperthreading, RADEON 9600 turbo 128 MB, 512MB RAM, DVD/CD burner 20X, 15 inch UXGA display, etc.)

they have other, way more powerful notebooks than mine now.

wow the notebook from sager is HuGE compared to voodoo's smallest with weighs only 5.5 pounds

13th April 2004, 01:47
well my sager weighs in at 8 lbs i think. it is not a toy or a battery saving "notebook", it's a powerful computer that is has been jammed into a notebook size. don't know how the best sager compares with the best voodoo or best alienware. they are likely similar. i'll bet the sager costs less by far and it is not crap hardware, they use the same stuff or their own proprietary designs-
