n the computer my friend uses when he comes over to play is a 9500 defualt clock and it does just as good as my 9800p at 430/365. i think cpu and ram matter more

to play bf1942 or vietnam or any of the newer games that will be coming out, i think you better get at least 128mb ram and buy something newer not a year old. my opinion

Video Memory is over rated unless you use Aniso/AA. Then at < 1024x768 you will start chewing up your memory.
Don't be ghey, don't use Aniso/AA, on BF:V with an ATI card, yet.
To answer your question Steatlh:
I would grab something with 8 Pipelines:
Nvidia - 5900XT
Radeon - 9700 Pro/9800 XT
If you want to look at 4 pipes, hit the 5700 U. Be sure the mem clock speed is 900 MHz. I would recommend the other path and this would be last option.

They stop making 9700pros
A good midrange card is a 9600xt
Anything below a Geforce4 mx440 will lead to lagging/low fps in game even with graphics and etc on lowest.

any of the mx cards suck. Half the speed with the new features of the newwer cards. Its like, all the newwer stuff needs the speed to do it so why release a card that does slowwer.
