I dunno if this has been mentioned or brought up but I just picked Vietnam a few days ago, and when I play online or even single player for that matter, the game is so choppy?!?

I have:

P4 3.0 Ghz
SATA Seagate HD
512MB OCZ Dual Channel DDR Ram Kit
Saphire Radeon 9800 256MB (ATI Chipset) Video Card
Soundblaster Audigy ZS Platinum Soundcard

I just put this system together finally, so please don't tell me that this aint enough to run vietnam at top speed?

Thanks for any input!

So, lets try keeping on topic here. This is a cheating site not game help site. I understand that maybe someone here would know but this site is not meant for this kind of stuff.

Anyways your problem is RAM. 512? Even bf1942 had problems with that little of RAM. All the textures and sounds get put into RAM and eats the crap out of it. Do get ether game to not be choppy at times, you need 1 GB of RAM. I have done several tests on several different systems I built for customers.

The other thing, download the following program. It just adds 1 line to 2 con files to set the actual sound buffer size. Guess there was a problem with soundblaster audigys and the game that this will fix. *Note some people have got worse lag from this patch.

it didnt fix very much on my system. I also have an audigy2 card. The best thing currently is to disable EAX1/2/3 in the sounds option and set to miles 2d. Then it runs much smoother. Hope this will be fixed - I am very angry, I have an audigy2 card and cannot enable EAX!

Anyways, Spontaneous is right, this is a cheating forum and not a public gaming forum...
