Tired of being booted.

Does anyone know how to prevent being booted off a game server? I play AvP2 all the time and the server run by DMH constantly boots players that kill their clan members. I don’t even cheat most of the time and I still get booted regularly. No warning of any kind given, all of a sudden you are just disconnected from the game. I’ve tried the barcode login names and the box names but eventually I always get booted.

I altered the Arial font to try to prevent them from figuring out my login name but while it worked with notepad & word, it didn’t work the same way in the game. Anyone know how to alter Arial so it truly hides your login name?

I’ve also seen mention of some anti-boot software. Does anyone know of any such software?

Any help or suggestions appreciated.

LOL 1st they dont boot u if u kill their clan memebers, usualy they boot cause u SK,
and if u dont join with a regular name they will boot u 2, even if u dont hack.
And i dont know any anti-boot software, actually its the 1st time i hear about it :)

SK is in the eye of the beholder. The other day, I ran around a corner in Quarintine and saw a pred just starting to cloak. I killed him with the sniper rifle. Immediately, I'm accused of SK and get disconnected. I logged back in to the DMH server and complained about it. The Admin said it might not have been a SK technically but he thought it was still unfair.

Where is this Admin when I get regularly killed by his preds before I can move one step? If DMH is so concerned about SK, why don't they run one of the anti-SK mods so nobody gets SK'd?

BTW, I never get booted off the EP or Champ servers, just DMH!

OK, they cant run the anti-SK mod, cause DMH server is a Linux server, and anti-SK mod dont work with Linux.
And i really dont like that anti-SK mod, :P u have to run all map until u spawn LOLOL.

First of all, i play on the DMH servers occaisionally and know a few of them. If you would understand that they do TRY to make the game better by cracking down on stuff, then you coudl appreciate it. However, they are HUMAN and do make mistakes. I haven't had any problem with them personally. BTW, they are gonna go to a WIN32 server very soon I was told. Then you wont have to worry about SKs. And I know the one modder, he is working on IP Banning. So it is probably only a matter of time before the server will become more clean.

A note about the Anti Sk mod. If you want to get out of it right away, then just jump...

Well, all I know is it is being worked on and should also support range banning for those also on dial up or dynamic IP. Do you just assume that because someone may be good that they automatically have a bot of some sort? I have played him before and beat him, and he has beaten me many more times than I have him. He isn't God. He is just good. Not all players who win in AVP2 are cheaters.

Ohh, and yes, once the IP banning is made, no one will be safe as far as being banned. They already have a kick by ID mod that works. I was in the server when they tested it on a WIN32 server. No name is safe from kick by ID...I even made box names and put od characters in it, even hidden non printable chars, and that mod allowed the coder to kick me anyway.

DMH are not bad guys, if you get to know them. There are many other WORSE clans out there.

if its an ip ban u can easily change it with many programs, often in some games then have progs to do it such as blizzard games to change the cd key

We all do not have it. Not everyone has a aim bot. I will say that the majority do not have an aim bot. What would be the point? To see who can cheat better? If just about everyone had an aimbot, I know I wouldnt be playing this game anymore. Unfortunately, every game has to have people hacking them to cheat, and I am not gonna argue right or wrong here, there would be no point to it. I just believe that most do not use one, and yes, when i do encounter a player that can frag a pred when they have sat in one spot, and out of the way, then yes, it is pretty obvious someone has one. But I honestly do not encounter aim bots all that often. I have won some games, I loose games. That is the way I like it. If I won all the time, personally I would not have any fun. Anyway, there is always some one better at something. For example, if |MOD| makes an anti Cheat mod, it wont be long before you guys have it cracked and useless I am sure. But that is the challenge of life I suppose.

For starters there is other ways to see if another player is hacking !!
like I see one player be marine and use the preds cloaking.
and I could tell he was hacking not just by sight !!
but by using one of the programs I got!
and even you can use tsearch to tell if their hacking.
and you can even use tsearch to get their offset and values of their hacks.
but I wont type out on here how to do this.
cause I like keeping things secert so no anti hacker can use my methods.
and theres a special way to find out if a player is hacking.
and I been in those servers as well and I seen some of those clan members use aimbots and so on in the game servers.
and this is all do to $tryker putting the tsearch on his site and on planetavp.com for download.
and telling people you can use it for hacking the game besides booting hackers with it LMAO..
so I used a few programs I got and I saw what that person was using for values and what they had used for preds cloak as well LMAO..
and there is away to block this so tsearch or any other program wont see or detect your hacks using memory scans.
I already done it a few times, but the only way they can tell if you hacking is from the aimbot over use and runspeed and jump or flymode hack.
those are to easy to pick out.
but the aimbot if you have set an off button for it you can just hit your hotkey to turn on and off by and there you have they wont think your hacking and dont shoot a player when their in mid air thats a dead give away.

Bear with me folks...for im new at this. Commando tells us he is the all seeing eye and can instantly tell when someone is cheating...praytell. Magic Maker is claiming that "Dhi" is using an aimbot...what are the signs??? I understand that in most games its fun to cheat and mod and hack but...why durring online experience??? Why not polish your SKILLZ and be a better player instead of having to modify the game to your advantage. To be honest with you UBI uses IP Banning and its very effective. You are given your IP thru your ISP. well there is a simple way of telling who is cheating and who is not.
it can be done using programs.
or it can be done just by watching them.
but the programs I use and stuff I will NOT discuse that here.
or how to obtain the information from the use of some programs on who to see who is cheating and who is not.
cause we got a anti hacker watching this forum board.
and hes trying to stop the hacks from being used in avp2.
and there for if he had the information I know and learned !!
he could do this very easy over nite to block all hacks.
but instead he dont know this information and I will not give it out to NO one !!
there only two other people on I know that knows how to do this besides my self.
and they won't give out that seceret to it and nor will I !!
cause look the hackers here dont use their hacks all the time.
and we dont crash servers using hacks either !!
but there is a group of hackers that do use their programing skill and hacking abilities to realy hurt the game more then we do !!
and they go around crashing game servers !!
which that is ilegal to do and if their caught they can be arrest by the law and charged for tampering with personal property and what ever charges that may be used to arrest them by.
I read about that stuff years ago and crashing game server for enjoyment is not fun !!
and it can cause damage to the servers computer !!
so thats personal propertie damage and thats ilegal to do and hacking games that way is even more ilegal and is under the seeing eye of the FBI..
but what we do does not harm the games server and it does not ruin the games source code either !!
so there no harm done.
and what we do is legal by law.
and like i said we dont use our hacks that often !!
only once in awhile we use them to get our selfs out being bored.
then we go back to normal game play..
cause look game hacking is a learning skill. and can be fun doing it.
just to see what you can do with a game as long as your not harming any one elses game connection or server or computer !!
how do you think most of the programers learn new abilities and skill to make new games and also block hacks ?
they have to learn to hack first and learn what the hacks do before they can block them.
and how to detect them all.
a anti hacker is by all means a hacker !!

It's not hard to answer your question Watcher. Yes it is easy to tell when people are hacking just by watching them for a while. Hacking or modding a game would be pointless if you do it in a single player environment since games come with codes to help you through the game itself. Hacking or whatever you want to call it can also be defined as a different way to "polish your SKILLZ." After playing a game for a while, one does get bored with its limits and seeks other methods of gameplay and thus this is where hacking/modding comes in. I myself enjoy playing against other hackers. Consider it a new challenge. Back when only like 1 or 2 people had the free-fly hack, it gave me something to try for so I can get at them when I play them the next time. Most servers will be going to a Windows based server type if they use Deadly Servers now and so this will give everyone a new way of thinking when they create new ways of getting around this. All of the hacking we do in this game and others will help developers give us something new to play with. This, fundementally, is how games later on will provide non-hackers to enjoy while not having to play with people here like myself.

I said this once before to someone and it's an old saying: "Don't knock it till you tried it." So simply if you don't hack you shouldn't come here hating everyone that does.

No...its not a hate thing and my side is as a server admin being able to know with programs instead of freeflyinh behind the accused hack/cheat, that takes away from my game. We all have been there b4. We have a gr8 game going when all of a sudden someone yells "I think this Dhi guy is hacking." and so now the server admin who was having a gr8 game has to now play babysitter to the hack to see if hes really hacking. Thats all... :) :) :)

Oh ok. Yes I'm sure we've all seen someone accuse someone of hacking even if those of us here that do hack may be in a game and not be the hacker. So yes, I understand both sides since there are times in which I don't use cheats/hacks in a game but I will from time to time. Sometimes it's fun to mess with people's minds in a game like evac and pretend to evac and leave while you watch them scurry over to you ASAP.
