Hokai, so...

A while back, my WinXP crashed hard, and I basically had to reinstall it.
When I reinstalled, I picked a different Username, so I basically lost all my settings, which doesn't bother me. The problem is, I can't access c:\documents and settings\oldusername\ at all, and I kinda had a 1.5GB folder on the desktop back then, and now it's locked away in this bastard! How can I just delete c:\documents and settings\oldusername\ ? I've tried a few things already - Creating a new account with the same name as oldusername, but that didn't work... it tacked a long number/word on the end of itself. Then I tried going into it through Knoppix, and I was actually able to browse and read the files, but couldn't delete/move them.

EDIT: Nevermind, this fixed it:

Isvaffel... You can do it in safe mode and in dos mode also. Hell alot easyer than installing linux and going thru all that trouble. You should beable to get to your old desktop by going to this folder. I had same problem and thats how I got stuff off of my old desktop. C:\Documents and Settings\old\Desktop
