Okay.. well i work on a computer as a computer tech for comcast, the job is ultra lame, people are so blood dumb :P

Heh.. to lame it up, they blocked the msn ports.. anyone got any idea on how to get around it? i tried a public proxy, but it still dosen't seem to work.. anyone got any ideas? its so damn boring without it!

yes, what you can do is set up a remote computer that uses RDP, and set up the MSN on that. it should cost you about $30 per month, but you also have a computer you can do webhosting on :D

if you want to install a RDP like system on your own computer, you could also try connecting to that, but since your upload will not be as fast as a rented one, i would go with rented if you are worried about performance

RDP = remote desktop portal

hmph.. how would i go about doing that? heh.. is it a good connection between this computer (at work) and the computer at home? my work comps' got a t3 i believe... haha, would i be able to bot up my computer and play cs? :P

It's called tunneling, you basically use your home computer as a router and send everything through it. If they haven't blocked the ports you could SSH to your home PC and webbrowse through that. But as Ronin says, your home computer will need a fast connection, otherwise it will be like browsing on 56k. A rented shell or something is a good idea.

If you're running winxp pro on your home computer and have a broadband connection just remote desktop to it . That way you can just run msn from your home computer. If your work computer is winxp just go start->run->mstsc if it's not winxp you'll need to install mstsc.exe from a winxp cd. Just pop in the cd and go to the install extras section.
