Any one know how to trick gamegaurd.des into going to my webspace or a folder on my PC to check for updates, where it will find only the old files? I tried adding an entry to my hosts file, but made no difference.

with a hex-editor you can easy change the version, the file will be function, but the versin ist coded on another place in the file, too.

i´ve the idea, too.
Change the version from old files to the newest fileversion, but nprotect detected the old version number and make update.

one of the des-file, the gamemon.des is an exe-file.
it can edited after renaming with visual basic, but the other files must be edited too, because in one of them are the detection-rules for hack and after the last update there must be a new file in system or anther file is changed from nprotect, so that mupie will detected with the old files too.

Yes this file works. I tested it but it might be useless. All it can do is unencrypt the files and not rencrypt them becuase no one knows the key.

When mu calls GameMon.des, it sends this as parameters :

It looks like a key, but != from the public key, so maybe it's the private one... i dunno :sleep:
