lag cheat?

A guy was running a lag cheat on a ubi punkbuster server.When anyone tried to shoot him they would lag so bad they couldnt defend themselves,lol.Is this cheat server sided only?

Before PB starting checking this, people used to set their netspeeds really low so that they would lag other people. However, PB kicks now if you have your netspeed set too low. I don't know if it was an actual cheat or not.

i've tried it, but it's not much of a cheat really. more annoying then anything. what u do is set ur netspeed to 0

but none of ur bullets register while this happens, and sometimes u can't even see the other team if u have it on all the time.

this is my first time posting here and yes there is sort of a lag hack....It is called ping corr. it makes u lag wen someone is shootin at u.i would put it up but it is a bot with wall hack no reload no recoil retlock ect.

Fool, what would be the purpose of YOU lagging when someone else is shooting at YOU?

There is no lag hack. It's as Drew said. Ravenshield was designed with features to keep 56k people from being completely left in the dust, when players set there net speeds in options, the other players bandwidth while playing is tapered off to make up part of the difference by the client.

The result is both client side and server side lag due to the sudden and erratic bandwidth changes.

I have heard of a "Ping Corr", but meh, the description you give makes it sound like a death trap. Anything that makes you lag = bad.

The game can be altered to make the taper not occur however. This could be the real "Ping Corr" I see on screenshots, but it is simple to do.

I think H4xor ment the person with the cheat doesnt lag the other people who shoot at him do.When map is started there is no lag only when you shoot at the person with the cheat do you lag.Thanks to everyone who responded. :)

I think err u my friend jarret or w/e ur name is err you need a better v-card or better internet or better memory or bettyer yet better everything :rambo: As for this "lag hack" there are two types/ways of doin it. 1. the easiest way is to take your modem n eevrytime u c the enemy u pull out ur modem wire then reinsert...this is god in matches but very time efficient unless u have three hands :D 2. the real lag hack it is something a hacker named CDN.Beacon made maybe around last year..the hack is private n costs like 500$ CDN/US no currency difference. Err well from what i know it basically uses a bot n uses a enemy cam n every time an enemy looks at you...you start getting a video lag...I think CDN.Beacon told me only 5 people have them n they r his closest friends. it's pretty kool i was in a server with him n we were on airport n everytime i saw him my screen would get video lag and i would be able to see him moving but my mouse would freeze up...N he has like two modes or something cause one time i didn't really lag n the second time i would get serious video lag.
