avp2 problems

hola one and all,
i have a problem with my avp2 multiplayer. im not a noob to the game and pride myself on being good, whilst also experimenting with hacks, but i AM a noob to this forum! basically i cannot play multiplayer. when i click on "find internet games" it gets stuck on the "searching for game updates" box, the one with the dots that go across to show it is loading. it just stays on this box, constantly loading with the dots going across, and nothing happens, i cant even cancel it, and have to control alt delete to exit the game. ive even left it for like half an hour with it not changing. has anyone got any ideas on why, and what i can do to sort it?

thta happens to me sometimes did u ever try waiting for 5 minutes? It will normally go away.

it might be because of a firewall

no that would be if you try to make a server and it doesnt show up cause of your firewall.

i just wanna plaaaay the gaaaame. its so annoying, got loads of ner hacks waiting to be tested out, and i just cant get online, tried downloading gamespy arcade, but still the same problem.

yo, got back in action, it WAS a firewall. my bro had downloaded one and not told me. great. spent the morning cheating and pissing people off. nice.

i knew it was a firewall. mine did the same thing to my W3 game.

you can still have ur firewall you just need to open the right ports for it.
